Fully expected Tapping and McGhee to start tonight. That team however should win this match.

Agreed, thought Ridgers might get a game as well.

Surprised at this. I'd have preferred to see Ridgers, Tapping and McGhee all get a start tonight. Rest Robinson and Jamie Mac, and give McGhee 90mins at right back ahead of Sunday.

Also feel we should have rested Patterson for this one.

It's our strongest team available, but we need to focus on the league so this is a little short sighted I think.

Would expect this XI to win the match.

No change. Playing strongest team. Hope we want to win this. Makes sense to maximise revenue. Makes sense to me to always play best team though I've seen many on here disagree. Locke's judgement to do this.

Surprised as well, didn't think we'd be playing our strongest team ahead of such a tough league game, especially since a couple of them won't be available. Think it would have been sensible to give their replacements some game time in the respective positions.

On the plus side hopefully it will guarantee a victory if they can continue to show the same fight and passion as they have done so far.

Obviously thinking that a home draw in the next round would be good financially for us - saving energy for the 2 filling in for Wilson and McHattie at Inverness

Anything up North will be a bonus :)

Hmm big risk playing the best XI. Locke is obviously looking to build up some momentum and continuity.

Agree Inverness game could be toughest game of season though don't believe Locke would approach it as dispensible. Will want to win on Saturday too.

Locke knows that to keep this teams confidence going is to keep playing them together and for them to keep winning games.

Hearts win.

Players are off tomorrow before training thursday friday and game saturday, im not convinced fatigue will be an issue on saturday, maybe if the game was tomorrow tonight instead of tonight it would be. Would have liked to have seen McGhee get a start though to give him confidence for saturday and Hamill a shot at left back but a win is important tonight. Drawing Celtic or Rangers away or Hibs in next round could be great for us financially

Pro's and con's for playing the strongest side available.

If we get a result and come away without and injuries, Locke will have played a blinder.

Its a tough one, I would have rested McKay and Hamill. One thing its worth noting is that after Saturdays game, we have two weeks off with internationals. But then again we could have 9 players away on international duty.

Would like to see Oliver make an appearance off the bench.

Surprised Hamill starts considering he had a calf problem after Saturday. Will be one player we will certainly need 100 per cent fit for Inverness. :uhoh2:

Would have possibly started Tapping ahead of Hamill to give Jamie a rest, but there is no reason why we shouldn't be looking to win this game. A home draw against either of the Old Firm or Hibs in the next round would raise the best part of ?250,000 to ?300,000. Which with the current wage bill, probably funds the club another couple of months.

We'll not be playing Rangers in the next round seeing as they have already been eliminated by Forfar. I assume this is why the BBC hasn't bothered with a live commentary feed on its website.
