BigAlim
in my lifetime(1995-present) i have seen loads of defenders who where/are not crap but also not good. of the few apalling defenders in recent times i am plumping for Dawid Kucharski(who isn't the worst player in the world) but i wouldn't mind hearing from older fans, who was the worst? Tommy Brown
Crawford Boyd by a country bad word mile. Signed by Willie Ormond from QotS for a paltry figure. These were very dark days in the First division with loads of shit players, but this guy made the shit players look good.

deejtee
Tommy Veitch. As regards Weir I think he was pretty decent at other clubs and was here when we had good options and got played out of position. He had the fans on his back (some things have always been this way). I know he feels these things are true as I discussed the issues with him a few months ago in a barbers in Perth. He was miles short of being our worst defender. Don Murray another dumpling that I can remember!

amadjambo
Quite surprised Fraser Wishart hasn't had more mentions given the regular seethe towards him on here. We had a wee Canadian Full back that was mince under JJ's 1st spell, Can't remember his name though. Darren Barr should be up there too based on his performances so far. We had a wee Canadian Full back that was mince under JJ's 1st spell, Can't remember his name though. Darren Barr should be up there too based on his performances so far. Fraser Wishart didn't try and leg for a Hearts side that simply went through the motions and almost ended up in the First Division. I remember a game where he simply refused to run faster than jogging pace - yet to some people he's regarded as a hero of the game. Petric cost us about ?1M in transfer fees and wages. Pound for pound, the worst piece of business in the club's history along with the Bosnian Bullet.
