worst ever Hearts defender

in my lifetime(1995-present) i have seen loads of defenders who where/are not crap but also not good.

of the few apalling defenders in recent times i am plumping for Dawid Kucharski(who isn't the worst player in the world)

but i wouldn't mind hearing from older fans, who was the worst?

Crawford Boyd by a country bad word mile.

Signed by Willie Ormond from QotS for a paltry figure.

These were very dark days in the First division with loads of shit players, but this guy made the shit players look good.

Dark days indeed, but good fun when I think back on them. :smiliz34:

Plus you wouldn't have had guys on the Internet telling you that you shouldn't be enjoying it :)

My Polish mate George said something along the lines of "Kucharski is slow, fat and shit" when he heard we signed him. He wasnt far wrong.

Hey Winston, gotta say I really love what you've done with your hair.

I'll see Jim Weir, and raise you Kevin James folks.

Hen Broon, Jim Weir, Gordan Petric, Fraser Wishart, Nerjius Barassa or whatever his name was, are just a few.

Never disliked any hearts player more than Gordan Petric though.

There are only teo reasons you could have posted that:

As a windup or because,

You're stupid!

Since you can't even spell his name, I'll plump for the second!!!

PS Joint winners, Crawford Boyd and Jim Weir!

Colin, Jim Weir was a star compared to Crawford. :smiliz64:

Tommy Veitch. As regards Weir I think he was pretty decent at other clubs and was here when we had good options and got played out of position. He had the fans on his back (some things have always been this way). I know he feels these things are true as I discussed the issues with him a few months ago in a barbers in Perth. He was miles short of being our worst defender. Don Murray another dumpling that I can remember!

Think you meant to say rational hatred.

'That' semi-final display.

Kieran McAnespie wasn't great when we tried him as a left back/wing back.

Petric and Kevin James were bombscares in the backline too.

That's what sealed a lifetime of hate towards the man but, for some reason, I couldn't stand him before that game.

Quite surprised Fraser Wishart hasn't had more mentions given the regular seethe towards him on here.

We had a wee Canadian Full back that was mince under JJ's 1st spell, Can't remember his name though.

Darren Barr should be up there too based on his performances so far.

Stewart McLaren

Chopper mcclaren utter gash!

Now, I remember Stewart McLaren getting MASSIVE stick from our fans in The Shed - no-one else seems to remember this, though?

Anyone confirm this?

Apparently, Chopper is a jambo now!

Fraser Wishart didn't try and leg for a Hearts side that simply went through the motions and almost ended up in the First Division. I remember a game where he simply refused to run faster than jogging pace - yet to some people he's regarded as a hero of the game.

Petric cost us about ?1M in transfer fees and wages. Pound for pound, the worst piece of business in the club's history along with the Bosnian Bullet.

For anyone to list Zali is crazy. He's a fully capped international defender for a team of a similar standard as Scotland.

Lithuania are nowhere near the level of Scotland but you are correct.

Where's the Darren Barr nominations?
