londonjambo
Oh dear. Oh well, there's an irony about being sponsored by wonga.com that others may enjoy Am finding it hard to read the article on the Hearts site though - keep getting distracted by the advert GC

Walter Bishop
Only Hearts supporters could create negativity from something so positive, a nationwide known company, sponsors of an EPL team and official broadcasting partner of one of the greatest cup competition's in the world, all publicity for the club! I for one think its good news.

rossthejambo
Perhaps it'll look like this? The strip's a bit on the brown side but I like the sponsors logo. Doesn't actually look that bad. I'd imagine they'll probably stick with being blue though I don't actually have a problem with the choice of sponsor, anyone willing to put some serious investment into the club is alright by me, and I doubt Ukio would give up the sponsorship without it being a decent sum. Can you imagine it, The club are making good money and imo great publicity from the sponsorship deal but wont be making money from shirt sales because the sponsors logo isnt nice enough for some of our "supporters" and that Wonga.com are really bad people because they offer payday loans! londonjambo
 Not sure what point you are making. I am certain that everyone is delighted that the club is (at long last) attracting an outside sponsor and any money pumped into the club is great news. My only point was that whilst they are a big company, the business they are in is not the most attractive - a bit like being sponsored by Lidl. The fact they make short term loans to those who are temporarliy financially embarrassed is bound to be seized on by our dear neighbours as well - in fact, I'd be amazed if there isnt a "hilarious" thread about it as we speak on mymotherismysister.net making the point that if we need to borrow cash to pay player''s wages etc etc etc *yawn* That was all - it is very very good news for the club at the end of the day GC

Victorian
a kickback gum bump about a new sponsor. i find a little exquisite irony in that we are now advertising the branding of a company that will actually appeal more to the needs of the hobo / septic demographic in society. you could argue that we'll be benefiting from the jakey dollar from the desolate slums of lochend and the east end of glasgow. Ok, I'm not in a position to need companies like this, thankfully. However, for the desperate, they are useful, surely. Yes, the interest rates are horrendous, but even that Martin's money tips guy has said they should be used if it otherwise means bank charges. Also, it's on the loanee to contact the company and take a loan, they're not hounded into anything.
