Walking in Gorgie

Put on my fur lined boots

And I boarded a plane

Touched down in the land of the tartan tat

In the middle of the pouring rain

Tommy Walker

Won't you look over me

Yeah I got a first class ticket

But I'm as maroon as a boy can be

Chorus

Then I'm walking in Gorgie

Was walking with my feet, ten feet off the ground

Was walking in Gorgie

But do I really feel that way

Saw the ghost of Willie Bauld on Dalry Road

Followed him up to the gates of Tynecastle

Then I watched him walk through

Now security they did not see him

They just hovered around his patch

But there's a pretty little thing waiting for the King

Down at the football match

Chorus

They've got mince and tatties on the table

There's hostility in the air

And Reverend Green be glad to see you

When you haven't got a prayer

Boy you got no prayer in Gorgie

Chorus

No I don't think the bank will ever open. Well it may have a brass plaque but I doubt it will ever do any real business.

As for Frail, I think he has probably one of the best runs of results we have had for years. 7 unbeaten in a row against nonOF teams. Very unfair to sack/demote him at this point unless of course the fabled manager is arriving.

you are a very, very funny man. you'd do well in the circus..........oh i see you've applied for a job with hearts.

Isn't that Marius Stankievicius in the first picture........

Now that is a Lithuanian player I would love to see at Hearts.

A wee interesting (maybe not) point about the flight to Scotland, apparently, Mr Romanov booked the whole first class section for his entourage, the three returning players? Economy class! :)

Typical remark I would expect from you.

At least it saves you getting a pasting every time you try and take him on in a debate.

Very good - that was without any help was it? ;)

I know I shouldn't.

It's OK, Julio still has his 4 legged translator:)

Oh my god.....

our owner gets off his arse and comes over to see the club for the second time in 18 months.

I always knew he had our best interests at heart.

I'm back on board!!

Believe.

Choo choo

Room for a small one ?

Who gives a ?

Does anyone seriously think after all this time that Vlad is coming back just to meet CL ? What a fecking insult to Hearts.

You could go on for far longer than that. I'm slightly gobsmacked that any Jambo would claim that Romanov hasn't lied repeatedly.

Me too. Some astonishing ostrich-like antics on this thread. Still, there are none so blind....

Should we not make our feelings known to him ?

What's it to you? Thought you were away fishing or playing golf until the end of the season?

How queer does Miko look in that second picture!

I took it as a manifestation of his reverence for Mr. Romanov.

No abuse. Common sense and I just wish I had said it so eloquently.

I'm with you, Ray and Kev, dh, although the majority of the time, Vlad doesn't make it easy. Maybe it's an "age thing".

Ah, my prophecy coming true.

At the start of his reign when we were all merrily signing "Vladimir Romanov, Vladimir Romanov" and I suggested that one day we would all be signing "Vladimir Romanov, why don't you **** off".

I didn't predict it would happen so soon.

Your prediction hasn't come true yet. Meanwhile, attendances at Tynecastle are consistently high.

The fans should not fear their owner; the owner should fear the fans.

Agree with the first part Kev, not so the second part though.

I don't think either party should fear each other, they should be working in tandem, for the betterment of the club. They shouldn't fear each other, but they do need to understand where each other are coming from, in my eyes the best way of achieving that is through dialogue, not squabbling.

However in general life it is common practice for people to be wary of those who pull the purse strings, fear them is maybe a bit strong a term, fear what they do with said money is possibly more accurate. Doesn't matter if it is the government, your employer, the owner of the football club you support, they will spend money in one way and the people who it impacts on the most will suggest alternative ways it could have been used. All part of human nature.
