Welcome to 1981....

 

It?s full of glamour on the surface. The cars are hot, the hair is big and fashion is used as a statement.

 

Scratch it though and it?s awash with problems, Thatcher?s Britain is a turbulent place. Fenchurch CID are pulling their perms out..the streets are awash with drugs, crime and gangsters ... the prisoners are rioting and it?s very own practices are under investigation. Jim Keats has been brought in to look into DCI Gene Hunt. He thinks this rough and ready cop may have secrets to hide, most notably in the disappearance of Sam Tyler, whose body has never been found and he?s determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.

 

Alex Drake has been brought back to this era for a reason, she just doesn?t understand why. The television is trying to give her clues but she?s as confused as ever. Keats and his pearls of wisdom have led her to doubt her ?guv?, a man she?s always been close to and has never wavered in her loyalty to..until now. She will for now stand by his side.

 

Their loyal work colleagues Ray Carling, Chris Skelton and Shaz Granger are well known for their loose talk in the station and they are beginning to believe something may be amiss as well.

 

They would be correct...the prison?s most recent riots have seen 2 of the force?s most notorious criminals Daniel Stafford and Jason Sacks escape along with bent cop DCI Litton who has decided being a bad cop wasn?t good enough for him and they have joined up to seek vengeance on the people who brought them down. Super mac hasn't gone away and he's controlling them all like puppets.........

Roles:

 

3 masons: Ray Chris and Shaz. Gossip with each other as much as they like.

 

3 normal goons : Daniel Stafford, Jason Sacks and DCI Litton. Can talk off thread with each other and have a night kill.

 

1 super goon: Super mac (part of their gang too and with the same rules) but if killed the game will twist

 

The TV - very powerful in its messages and can protect people in the usual format

 

2 cops: our favourite couple. Gene and Bollie are in this together and can communicate with each other off thread.

 

Jim Keats? he is his own man we don't know what he'll do. He has a gun. Will he use it?

Howdy, good set up kits and JR

 

Question though, do the cops do one or two investigations a night and do the masons get the results and am I reading it right that the ?ber goon can communicate with the other goons?

 

Anyway, I'll be jumping in the shower in a wee bit so that'll be me until late tonight/tomorrow

No Bollie and Gene are a team..they can communicate so one investigation per night. Uber goon is still part of the gang it only twists if they are uncovered.

Good afternoon.

 

I've never watched Ashes to Ashes so Kitster's introductory post went way over my head. My initial thought was an up market dealer had moved into the Falkirk area and she'd got her hands on some good stuff, then let rip with her keyboard, but I'm led to believe it is all pertinent.

 

For this game I'm just one of the townsfolk yet again, and have no idea who has been roled as what, so cannot produce a goon list (I realise where lists are posted at this stage of the game such lists are used to draw people out, but I'm pretty awful at reading clues through posts, so there is no point in me trying to draw people out at this stage).

 

Anyway, back to watching the two cup finals, I'll be back later (has it been announced when the first cut off time for voting is yet ?).
