Ah, so it's longer than 25 yards but not longer than 25 metres. Therefore it's between 25 and 27.3403 yards long. That narrows it down...

It's also more than 25 metres long.  The "25 yards" is a clue.  Sorry for being cryptic.

You got there in the end.  Good find.  Point to redjambo.

It's the entrance via Saxe Coburg place.

Yay. That 25 yard clue was a good one - I was looking up all sorts of measurements to see if 25 yards was equal to some strange imperial measure (a "chain" at 22 yards was the closest). :D

I thought the pool was 25 meters long, hense the confusion earlier.  I'm sure I got a 25 meter swimming badge there many years ago.  They lied to me! :(

The clues become obvious when you know the answer.

Good call. A quick Google shows that the various badges all seem to be in metres, not yards, so technically for a 25-yard pool you would have to swim another couple of metres to get the badge. I guess they'v decided that would be too confusing for the kids.

Or maybe you're just not good at swimming in a straight line so, all in all, you did swim 25m.

Probably the latter.

That's me out of pics for now.  I'll find a new pic for later on tonight.

Point to Mark_Mywords well done, a very oddly nice place in the middle of a toilet

West Lothian House

It's not how it's currently known I don't think as that was the demolished building wasn't it

West Lothian House No More!

It's the end of an era in Livingston as the old Council HQ, West Lothian House, is being systematically demolished as I write. The photo was taken at around 3 this afternoon. I have to say that

Didn't know that! Used to work in that Bank of Scotland just opposite it in the wee car park many a year ago.
