Venice and Some Greek Island, Corfu??

Corfu was where the ferry was boarded. Nice one.

The other point to Graygo.

Out of interest, how did folk guess Venice so quickly?

The country is correct (good one!). The location isn't though.

Nope and nope.

The sign does narrow the village down to being on a certain route though.

On reflection, Sharky, the branch of the route that this village is on actually does end in Ljubljana, but the route itself ends up much further down the line than that. So in a way you were right. Apologies.

Kostanjevica?

That is a great guess, and it's a lovely village/town, but no.

Ok, last clues. ;)

The village in question is at the end of the route in question before it hits the Croatian border.

The village's name describes itself perfectly.

The scallop shell is associated with St James.

It is indeed a pilgrimage route.

Ljubljana, which I believe translates to lovely.

Nope. The photo was taken in a village. There is some debate as to the origins of the name Ljubljana but that is one interpretation (and a very apposite one).

The German name for Ljubljana is Laibach, for those fans of that particular musical genre, of which I am one.

Ah. I've just realised why you said that now. :D

All I meant to say was that Kostanjevica na Krki is a very pretty town.

sloveska vas

Sharky! The man!!!

Point to Sharky999.

Slovenska Vas, translated as "Slovenian Village", the first village on the Slovenian Jakobova Pot (Camino de Santiago in Slovenian) after the Croatian border. In one direction the route goes on to Zagreb (and further if you so desire), in the other to Ljubljana and across Europe to Santiago de Compostela.

Did you not read the bit that said we only have an hour after each table is published to challenge any discrepancies?
