more wages problems

HMRC haven't been paid for some time now. If they come riding over the hill any time soon we're in big trouble.

I don't think we need to worry about HMRC.

The government insisted last week that businesses can pay late (or in instalments).

Who knows? The point is that there is nothing we can do about it, the club has said the money will be in by Monday, if it's not then we can start having serious concerns.

I'm in wholehearted agreement, Martin, but I'm still concerned that today's ticket money has been syphoned off. OK, there may have been other bills to pay, but the admin folks at the club know that the wages needed to be paid.

My concern is, that there was a bill HAD to be paid that took priority over the players wages.

What a shambles.

Also, if you are a Hearts fan and you clearly take a close interest in the inner workings of the club, are you planning on going to go to the game today?

No I'm not. My seat will be one of the hundreds, if not thousands, that would have been filled no problem 2 years ago.

My excuse is that Romanov is running the club into the ground and he's not getting his hands on my money.

Nucky Thompson

The wages are already in the banking system and the players knew it. No worries and 3 fecking points. Woo hoo:107years:

on the eve of a big game?

...and so it happened

Buffalo Bill

.

The Celtic-style paranoia strikes again!

When will people get it into their skulls .....any bad press we have had has come from OURSELVES!! The press have a duty to report news of public interest and this item certainly falls into that category. Same as JB getting his money mixed up with the WBMC's during the week.

The Sun published a story about Boruc in Warsaw in the week of a big European game...so any thought of an agenda against Hearts is pesh.

Easy answer....if we want to avoid bad publicity then pay the feckin wages on time.

Well done the players.

Put any of this stuff to the backs of their minds and did really well today.

Agreed Coco. The players got a great result today despite the off-field problems.

The performance today was the polar opposite of what we seen at Tannadice after the players hadn't been paid in September.

Hopefully the players minds were put at ease before the game today (if it's a genuine mistake, that's what should have happened) and the players were allowed to go out with nothing on their minds other than the job in hand.

Hopefully Monday comes and all is well again.

Still shocking that it was allowed to happen again though, IMO.

I agree with this JF, the problem is that in relation to failures within businesses Hearts are not alone in not rectifying problems. Many companies make the same mistakes over and over again, where logic would make you think "we did this wrong the last time, lets make sure it doesn't happen again". In some companies the failures are relatively small things, things that will still p i s s people off, or staff off, but they are repeated, in some cases constantly (daily), in our case it is something very significant. The problem should have been analyzed and resolved after it happened in September, but if it is indeed a cash flow problem rather than a system/staff/procedure related problem it is less easy to remedy.

That's because there's a media conspiracy against Hearts Jambomickey. It's sooooooo obvious!

Do players get paid during their summer holidays when they are doing nothing and the club is not getting any revenue because there are no matches?
Well you would expect to get paid from your employers when you are on holiday would you not.
