EggMan
No it was not the case and I will be furious if we end up carrying the can for the Hibs fans lack of respect today It wasn't a lack of respect at all. Hibs fans booed the Hearts support for singing during the minute's silence (or applause, as is the fashion these days), and it wasn't clear that it wasn't actually hearts songs being sung. No point in getting righteous about it, it was all down to confusion. Cue petty responses about "hobos" being stupid, but it was all down to confusion. Get off your high horses. DC_92
"Think it was definately a case of 2 points dropped for us and one point gained for them. Mixu got his tactics a bit wrong as we let them take the game to us after the goal and their 5 in midfield were able to get more of the ball then our 3. Obviously I'm biased but I think there is no chance we'll be behind them come the end of the season. Btw I heard us booing the unpaid ones during the minutes silence, so I'm guessing they were singing something but I don't know what, wouldn't put it past them. It's difficult to hear exactly what words people are chanting when the whole stadium is clapping. It is a shame that this confusion happened, but but's exactly what it was: confusion. It was NOT clear to most of the Hibs support at the game that your support were not infact singing Hearts songs. If you have you will have noticed that there are always songs sung in tribute to whoever has passed away. You question whether the Hibs support is supposed to listen in to every chant of the Hearts support, well in this instance the answer to that would be yes, before you marr the occasion by booing (doesn't matter what you are booing, you shouldnt boo during something like that, wait till after) you should have listened to what we were actually chanting before you jumped to whatever conclusion you jumped to. Harry Palmer
As I started off listening on the radio before turning to visual, online. All I can really say is that I heard the 'One Eddie Thompson' chant and given the fact that we do not have previous about 'celebrating' the death of a fantastic chairman, I can only assume that the derision came from certain quarters. No doubt, it will be twisted otherwise..... like Bikerjambo insinuated!
