Balmoral for me.

Does anyone know of a pub that might let an 8 year old come in before the match? Im not sure if the Balmoral does because I have seen them in there, yet also heard the barstaff saying kids werent allowed.

Westfields allows kids until 8pm mate, after that, you're on yer own. Im sure the ardmillan lets them in a while too.

Our crowd usually frequent the Polwarth Tavern before games.

I reckon it's a lot quieter than the other pubs mentioned but you get a seat, the beer is decent and they have several flat screen tellys showing the lunchtime football.

probably the worst pub in Gorgie....Stratties...but

a chance to have a drink with my old man

- a large house whiskey

a seat right next to the (top) bar ;)

good company

cheap drink

a laugh and a joke (usually at the hobbits expense)

pleasent bar staff ;)

2 minutes walk to the Wheatfield stand (10 mins to que along the road though )

it might not be the best pub, but it'll do for me :)

See you Saturday. :)

I've drunk in every boozer in Gorgie, but I now tend to go to the Roseburn pre-game and a Gorgie tour afterwards starting with the Merchie Hearts.

Is the Wheatsheaf finally getting renovated? Bit at the back has the roof off I think (from a quick glance). Was that deliberate? ;)

Offices, sadly.

For me...............

Pre match - Luckies.

Post match - Robbos.

Later - Westfield with a karoake session thrown in for good measure!

Diggers for me - Good beer ,Good Service - no matter how busy. Normally only manage a couple of pints pre match as I have to drive up the A9 later. Satying down for the weekend this week though - might manage a decent scoop !

There's always a lot of barins sitting in the beer garden outside the Ardmillan before games.

Tynie Arms.

The bottles are always warm, the Managers' a tornfaced tramp, the bogs stink and the TV has no sound.

But it's the shortest walk to the ground.

Good jukebox!

When I do go to the boozer before and after it was generally the Caley Sample rooms. However, they are not so good now so quite like Thomson's at Haymarket and a bus along..

The bus or the pub? :)

Both. Although to be fair I do get the bus along too if I can.

I also like old mans boozers, golf, fishing, Belhaven Best and I wear brown sandals.

I am old before my time, and probably only a third your age. ;)

Ettrick Hotel -- in early season beer garden is great and a decent pint

Polwarth Tavern -- all matches on tv, decent seating and good toilets.

Plus some female students !!

Westfield for me as I can get the 15 year old in no probs.

Oak is an experience that everyone should try. Big Bobby Bowie and his pals winding up the away support coming in and going home - quality !

I knew Graham Rix was on this board.
