It's good news. It will be interesting to see how he is used if Shankland is sold. With some of the other signings, I think there is potential for him to play centrally more often. Could well be part of the answer of replicating Shankland's goals across a number of players if it comes to it, rather than trying to find one striker to score all those goals. He was obviously a very good goalscorer himself but also played wide and as more of a link-up forward. We've tended to play Vargas in those positions rather than up top so far.
