Thought they had plans for beneath the Wheatfield stand? Sure when the shop was there they said they'd convert the space once main stand was finished.

Will be trying the hotel first. Looks 😍

Good news.

Should try and get a hospitality suite inside the wheatfield somewhere

Id love them to fit a massive German style beer hall in somewhere. Music, screens, strips on walls, flags, decent food stalls, rapid service on the beers. Open 12-2.30, then for an hour after the game.

Basically an indoor fan zone.

aye, always thought that would be class. Entry for season ticket holders only - any bother and club has your details - would ensure the riff raff were kept out 👍

Aye, would be top notch. Something like that and the club have catered for pretty much every type of fan with hospitality options.

Would be a money maker if done right 👍🏼

The Germans have got it sorted when it comes to that.

One thing I’ve found strange is that here we shut the kiosks after half time.

In almost any other country you can get drinks and food after full time.

These suites are more like meeting rooms, so each one will be fairly intimate. Be worth a group getting the lot. Unless of course there are partitions in the meeting rooms making it one big suite on match day 🤷‍♀️

I do wonder why clubs (not just Hearts) don’t make more of an effort to get fans to spend longer in the stadium. It’s a massive captive audience.

Herded in and out as quickly as possible.

One thing that always bugs me is that the website takes ages to update. If you look

under hospitality - there is nothing that mentions the new suites. Small details I know but attention to detail is everything .

still all good !

There is an “ultimate match day experience” ticket and accommodation offer on the hotel website including dinner, bed & breakfast options.  I tested out the Celtic match on 3 march, the hotel website shows accommodation is available but, there is no ticket purchase option on the booking tab.  I’m sure it’s another glitch to sort out as an ultimate match day experience will defiantly sell out every home game.

Absolutely wee glitches. I can handle it given that I can remember where the club has come From in the 70’s - used a handful of times a season , the ill fated supporters club at the back of the old stand etc.

superbly run off the park and we are now looking much better on it

Scottish football is massively behind when it comes to stuff like this.

I am assuming the fans bar is pretty successful looking at how full it gets on matchdays. Surely a large scale hall with music etc would be a great earner and help the matchday atmosphere.

They’re biding their time in case we need a bigger trophy room/hall over the next few seasons. Those Champions League trophies take up hella space.

Yeah that annoys me a bit. I’m not that fussed about a pie at half time, but get peckish at full time. It would be great if there was a kiosk or two open at full time to sell the unsold stock. I assume the pies can keep warm for another 45 minutes. 😝

Now we have loads of suites. It would be good to have some kid friendly stuff too.

Can’t remember what it was called but they used to do junior hospitality around the 2014/15 season in half the Gorgie suite if hospitality was relatively quiet.

Jock the jambo there, Budge and Robbo popped in one day, food and games for the kids and food and pints for the parents. Was £15 per adult/child.

My son’s now 14 so I will take him to hospitality soon but while he’d love the players coming in after the game etc, he wouldn’t be that fussy about sitting at a table eating a set menu to be honest.

We’ve got so many options now, would be good to see us catering for the non-alky fans😂

Seems silly, there will almost certainly be wastage, so why not try and sell as much as possible?

Maybe don't want queues forming when folks are trying to leave. Could get a bit congested.

Spot on. My son is dead keen on hospitality but it’s a bit pricey for what he’d get out of it.

Meh, would prefer something catering to the normal fan each week.

Fair play for boosting revenue though, nice work 👍

Hate the commercialisation of McCrae though (presuming it's not something else?)

Also, what is "bowl food"?

Breakfast too

Without sounding out the obvious but, they would need to be serving breakfast for hotel guests…..that’s a given so, is the announcement targeting walk ins?  I spoke to one of the managers at the very first breakfast service on 4 feb (my wife and I were actually the first breakfast guests…….yea fat bassa 😂).  Anyway she said breakfast was not open for walk-ins…….maybe they’ve changes their tune but……. as there are a couple of known greasy breakfast spoons close by and, the fact that no one outside the hearts community will know about this service, I’d imagine that random breakfast walk-ins at our hotel will be very limited.

I think that looks really good. I would imagine that the £90 option will be very popular with existing season ticket holders

Remember that Tynecastle is busy for corporate stuff during the week as well so plenty folk in and around the stadium.

plus I’d imagine it will be very busy on match days. Mid morning breakfast then to the Tynie arms, diggers etc, then off to the match sounds a great way to spend the day 👍

been here before

I've often thought that one thing that hospitality misses is an option for existing (season) ticket holders so its good to see theres that option here.

Like many others I've already shelled out for my ST seat which Im more than happy with and really wouldnt want to let it go for an inferior seat in the main stand or the Gorgie, likewise Im not wanting to pay for a hospitality seat Im not going to use.

An option to do hospitality at a cheaper rate if you have a ticket has been missing for years aling with options for taking say u16s.

Obviously any alternatives that dont include Scott Wilson are also a plus.

Looking forward to my PR Season ticket hospitality . New bar and lounge . Payed a bit extra for a few years and enjoyed the wee pop up bar thing as well as the comfy seat . This new one looks barry though . Booked up and ready to enjoy before , at half time , and after

Even outside the stadium. I fairly regularly go to Edinburgh Rugby games and there is usually all sorts going on - food trucks, bars, entertainment - in the area between Murrayfield and the Edinburgh Rugby Stadium. Even in the depths of winter.

We have a bloody massive Plaza outside the main stand, McLeod St is shut to traffic, there's another open area up by the entrance to the high school and I believe we've access to the pitch behind the Wheatfield. We could get some food trucks in, a kiosk selling merchandise, face painting, beat the goalie, ex-players posing for photos, our various sponsors could have stalls and there's probably a hundred other things I can't think of.

We're fairly limited with what we can do for the masses pre-game inside the stadium so to me it's a no brainer to utilise available space around it and try and get folk down early and spending money. Might flop but we won't know if we don't try.

Why? Ok if you can afford it but £90 for a couple of hours drink and probably a bowl of curry is expensive in my view but if it turns out to be popular then good for the club

I’d have wee temp kiosks setup on the way out selling the left over pies / juice / crisps etc at discounted rates to guys on their way out at full time.

The amount of times I’ve headed straight for a munch after the beer is wearing off at full time.

It's a shame we couldn't work in private boxes into the new main stand. They'd have been a great income generator.

Definitely another +1 for a fan zone type area.

I am sure that I have seen rumours on here that the club are thinking of adding boxes on either side of the restaurant.

I also agree about a fan zone.

Think there might be issues with the plaza due to access. I know it’s a biggish space but queues from ticket office quite often spill across it. Access to fans bar, turnstiles, shop, main entrance etc. Don’t imagine a thousand people standing about on top of that would be welcomed.

I agree with your point though. Need to try and do more of this kind of thing.

Great idea. Could rotate the player being featured each match rather than just having David each time though.

They used to regularly do the Gorgie Club for kids. It was something like a tenner entry and you got a pie and a drink. Ideal for those with kids, took my niece a few times.

If any of the management read KB, get on the phone to Tottenham, and ask for advice on how to relieve fans of their hard earned cash.

My son is a Spurs supporter, and I took him to watch a game last season. We also did the stadium tour beforehand. Their operation is amazing, and if we could replicate a small portion of it, albeit on a smaller scale, then the match day experience would be greatly enhanced. Some really innotive things The pints pour from the bottom of the glasses in about 6 seconds. You are never more than a minute walk away from food or drink. My son got a ham and pepperoni pizza. We actually watched a proper chef making them, and put them in the oven. £11 for a 9inch pizza may be thought of as expensive, but it wouldn't be out of place in a top restaurant, unlike most of the shite that is served up in football grounds. My burger and chips was £9.50, but had a lovely juicy burger and fresh salad etc. Again, wouldn't be out of place in a decent restaurant.

During the tour, our guide said that they are constantly visiting local pubs/restaurants, to ensure that the prices in the stadium are competitive. It was £4.40 for a Heineken.

We could obviously never compete with the range of food; the have a sushi bar FFS, but there is no reason we cannot match the quality and price.

The ground opened at 13:30, and there were queues waiting to get in. We wandered round the whole stadium, taking in the atmosphere. I reckon over half of the attendees were eating and drinking at the stadium, rather than the surrounding area.

Edit - They also had 2 local bands playing on the concourse.

Hospitality is always going to be expensive if you break it down to ticket price, and what food and drink you get for your money. I think you need to look at it from a different angle.
My 2 boys upgraded our season tickets to hospitality for this season (big birthday present for me) and it’s been brilliant. We get in 3 hours before kick off, have a beer or two (pay bar) and have a great catch up over some great food and then a 30 second walk to our seats.
At half time we chat about the game over a pie and a cup of tea (or pint if you pay for it) then the 30 second walk back to our seats.

Full time, back in for another cuppa or drink, wait until the crowd disperses and away to our separate homes we go.
Spending these 5+ hours with my boys, is priceless. Yes we could meet in a pub and have a bite to eat there and so on but being at the stadium is a much better experience and Hearts benefit from it too.

I would imagine that boxes on a level with the Skyline could be pitch facing, although it would mean losing seats in a similar way to the TV studio.

I suspect we'd make more £££ with the boxes so losing a couple rows won't be the end of the world. Plus we'd probably gain seats from the directors box as Budge and Co will no doubt have a box or 2.

Obviously we couldn't be charging these prices but look at the money Arsenal are generating from them.

Good to see the club maximising on the space they have available to generate more income 👍

Not sure if the club own it, but that pitch behind the Wheatfield and under the Wheatfield itself would be good to create a fanzone area like others are mentioning. Seems like a good bit of space to work with.
