Great to have game changers on the bench today - Lowry and Tagawa made a difference when they came on. With Gordon, Halkett, McKay, Cochrane and Vargas to come in and Beni and Boyce still to reach full fitness things appear to be moving in the right direction. Not going to get carried away just yet but it’s nice to start the season with an away win and a clean sheet 👌🏻

Great result. Hard place to go no matter what previous results were for them. They sit in and make it hard/frustrating hoping to win second balls up the park or get set pieces. Was always going to be like that first half, put it up a gear and showed great character limiting them to pretty much plums.

image.thumb.png.45772857f29181e3d5f3465d1c316071.pngJust reading this. Why is the BBC so absurdly unprofessional all the time when reporting Scottish football? The grammar... unless McAvoy actually spoke like that (highly unlikely).

We have already submitted a squad list and I presume none of the were on it. So now we can make 2 changes to that initial squad before midnight on Wednesday. It’s possible we got Takawa on the initial list but we must have cut it fine if we did

I believe we don’t have to submit a team until Wednesday evening for the Rosenborg match.

Shouldn't it be "Tora Tora Tora"?

“Tora Tora Tora” was the Japanese code expression for the signal to begin the attack on Pearl Harbor. “Tora” is a Japanese word that means “tiger,” but the full phrase is considered an abbreviation for totsugeki raigeki, which implies “lightning attack.”

I dislike the historical and racial implications of that phrase

Loved the way he waddled forward in the 95th minute to get on the end of Boycie’s pass. 😀

It’s the JKB way.

halkett - injured - cream cakes

halkett - fit / playing - colossus.

Two nil away from home. Even Celtic and Sevco take that in this league.

Rangers would definitely take that atm.

Tagawa and Lowry shifted everything for us when they came on, both were immense and all of a sudden this season looks pretty exciting.

Had a few moments but was solid for the most of the game. Harsh imo

I obviously don't understand the offside rule.  Shanks and Boyce both looked offside to me.

Boyce was a long way onside

Oda be a JT

First half was dire and hard to watch, second half much better and as mentioned the subs made a big difference. Still have lots of players to come in/get up to full fitness.

Three points is what counts (clean sheet a bonus too after last season).

I wouldn’t say it was dire. I’ve seen much worse first halfs away from home, but we were cruising for a lot of it. Upped the tempo second half and we ended up winning fairly comfortably

Maybe he's best as the co-pilot. Bit uncomfortable as the leader of the back pair.

Any kind of wins will do at this stage of the season considering the late transfer business.

It will take a while to work out the best team selection and also take a while for them to gel.

3 points in Perth is a good day. I’m going to have a wee drink

When halks is back he shouldn’t be near a starting place, this guy continuously loses us goals

Should have scored, another few yards closer giving the keeper less reaction  time.

Want to be a team that can win away from home and not over respecting the opposition.

I think it’s down to who he was playing against. He does well when the game is played in front of him. St’s were slow up front, no one put him under pressure.

Boyce was in our half when Lowry passed; sorted

Boycie then took it past the last defender; now it's a free-for-all and Shankland can go anywhere, nobody's offside when the ball is carried past the last defender

Great result

There was a few bright spells and we had the game under control.

Thought Atkinson, Kent, Haring, Oda best of the starting 11 and Lowry got involved immediately once he came on and Boycie was sharp for his 10 minutes.

Didn't think there was a "failure" in a Hearts jersey.

As an aside the abuse directed towards Forrest is getting embarrassing. The guy gave everything today even when a lot wasnt falling his way. The same muppets derision at everything he does go silent when he does something good? Supporters??

I honestly didn't know that last part. I've seen other goals scored in a similar way and wondered. Cheers

A very good result today. Not our best display… team still not firing on all cylinders. Very encouraged by Boyce’s display. Looked sharp. Kent…another solid performance.
Gamecpassed by Hoff… Great to see Beni again.

Actually @Ricardo Quaresmajust checked it and we had to submit the list by 4 august, so one assumes we’ve done it

That's possible, but not on UEFA site; however, the new guys will be on it
