The Tackle

If utter disaster happens today I hope at least some of the happy clappers who have brought us to the precipice of catastrophe will at least have the decency to come on here and apologise for their lack of basic knowledge of the game and for the meek, timid acceptance of mediocrity. I doubt they will though. Let’s hope their untold levels of stupidity doesn’t bite us horrendously badly today.

His opinion isn’t really relevant though…as he has the intellectual capacity of a cabbage.

No Idle Talk

Toby dropped. It's ruthless but I think it's good management. It sends the message that if you make a bad mistake that costs the team then you will be held accountable for that mistake.

Oda will rip Stevenson and Co' to bits.   I think he will score today as well.

Tactically they are set up to counter and break up our play.   I wouldn't say that's the best plan.   Attacking so long as it's patient and intelligent, works best.    Sitting back waiting to lose is the Hibs way of course.

Sibbick benched, fair enough Hill's been great last couple of games, Toby's been a bit sleepy

He actually had the balls to drop Sibbick for a loan player.   That's a bit shit.   Hope Hill signs again next season.

Agree with Sibbick being dropped. Not sure about McKay starting though.

He's the best for pace and recovery tackles at the back.   Not great in the air but neither are Hibs except on a set piece.

The main danger they have is the pace of Youanne.

Sibbick has proven previously he more than has the measure of him for pace and closing him out and Hill has been exposed for pace previously.

I understand that Sobbick has cost us a couple of time recently but that has been from high/cross balls.

Hibs largely relay on pace and balls over the top.

Ballsy call but a bit concerned Naismith hasn’t properly assessed it all.

Anyway, if we focus on attack we have enough to beat them.

Just kick him off the park and keep him wide. One trick pony who does step overs and cuts inside every single time. Should be easy enough for Cochrane/Hill to deal with.

To be fair this is where Naismith has to prove himself.

Sending the team out with drive and energy is great.

But can he win the tactical battle. That's what decides whether or not he gets the job.

Also helps that Atkinson is playing well under Naismith.

It’s strange. Does Sibbick deserve to be dropped for regular errors? Yes.

Am I a little disappointed he has been dropped? Yes.

He is great on the ball, very quick and allows us to play a high line.

We might be signing Hill.

That would be a very odd thing for the club to do, considering we lack defenders that are strong in the air.

John Hughes thinks talking slowly and pronouncing your t's makes you intelligent.

He's a fud.

Sibbick had a 'mare but I'd have him over Rowles every day of the week.

Rowles gets a bit of a free pass on here. He lacks the necessary physicality and too easily defeated by a ball over the top.
