Our only hope for third is to hammer the vermin.

If we took a draw from this it would really put pressure on the sheep going into the final weekend.

Anything from this would be a bonus though. Momentum going into the hibs game.

Probably not.
Much more interested to see how Naismith sets us up tbh.
Not the usual Levein/Neilson mess our shorts before a ball is kicked will be a significant improvement for me.

Eh ?

Sheep beat St Mirren and a draw is no use to us.

We’ll need to win at Ibrox to keep it alive I feel.

Hope Naismith sets us up, to really have a go, nothing to lose.

Hoping Gino is ok for this match, having been taken off injured today, his pace upfront is key, to us having any chance of points, its a big ask, but.....

Must, MUST avoid a humping, the goal difference could be absolutely key here, especially if we lose and St Mirren and Aberdeen draw.

Win on the other hand changes absolutely everything.

No matter what happens we need the sheep to drop points.

Keeping the dream alive is hoping that we get to the last day still in with a chance. We can lose against Rangers and still have a chance provided Aberdeen drop points which we are now fully reliant on.

True but we have to do our own job. Not pinning our hopes on Aberdeen blowing a £5million game at home to St Mirren. Beating Rangers is the only way to make sure we take it to the last day.

Also depends if St Mirren still have Europe to go for. I note they are winning at Celtic which doesn’t bode well for their (Celtics) attitude on the last day

Still quite a lot to happen and we’ve given ourselves a sniff.

Absolute Scenes

Have we ever went into an old firm game with a “must-win” mentality? I don’t mean “let’s go in there and treat it like a must-win” I mean an actual game we need to win, or at least not lose? I wonder if that will help the team to turn up

Win on the other hand changes absolutely everything.

The current goal difference gap is 8 (+6 for us and -2 for them).

If we lose against Rangers, the only way we can catch Aberdeen is if they get a maximum of 1 point from their remaining two games, so one loss means their goal difference will go down by at least one.

We would also need to beat hibs, meaning our goal difference increases by at least one.

For tie-breaker purposes, we've also scored more than Aberdeen.

Taking all of that into account, we'd need Rangers to beat us by 11 goals for it to stop us having superior goal difference against Aberdeen and for that to matter.

That said, we're going to beat Rangers anyway so the above is purely academical.

Positive attitude all week at training required , that hearts can go there and get a result.

Long over due a performance at Ibrox - no reason why we can’t go and give them a go.

However likely scenarios based on probability - hearts  concede early - dodgy referee decision that will influence the game  - hope I’m wrong

Come on hearts!!

Rangers have nothing to play for . We do .

I hope we really go for it as feel if we do Rangers are there for the taking and will be going through the motions

Sevco won't want to sign off with a defeat in their last home game.

We need to be up for this

Tickets are still available. Or were, at full time, when I bought one. But they don’t show up on our site - you have to go in e-tickets via the news story from two weeks back, announcing the sale

Spot on, they're not just making up the numbers. Doing us a favour v Aberdeen puts them in the frame for 5th ahead of Hibs, win win.

Bazzas right boot

Ibrox will be half empty,  they'll play a few squad players with other players having an eye on next season.

Great chance ( relative wise)to pick up something.

I'll Have one eye on Aberdeen game tho!

Hope is alive and well.

Aye, because in the last three decades we've been great outside of their tenures in Glasgow.

It's their fault we've been shite in Glasgow.

We’ve been hideous under Levein and Bob. Absolutely hideous.
Id honestly have just given them a 3-0 and the points and saved every ***** the hassle under that pair of losers.
Bob even at home the useless *****.

There's a fair chance of taking something, the Old Firm pretty much brought they're season to a close, definitely a chance a team of youngsters will be on show.

One thing is for sure we can't defend at Ibrox like we did in the 1st half today. No worries about our attack but that defending was difficult to watch at times today.

That’s it in a nutshell. Defending is the key to getting anything’ from Hunbrox. Toby and Kai together give me the fear. I don’t want soapy rubbing our noses in it but he’ll be desperate to get one over us. I’d be happy with a point as I think a victory is far too much of a grasp.

2-0 to Rangers - Beaton and Collum to get the goals.

Diving header, then run away with his shirt off.

That would be Beaton's.  Collum's will just be Beaton drawing a box with his fingers and pointing too the centre circle.

I think the team will need changed a little to freshen it up, maybe play Smith in midfield if Gino is out to match up to them.

Our record there is appalling.

Unfortunately can't see us taking anything, Just got to hope the Midden can take something up at the Sheep Pen.

Prediction is

2-0 defeat for us

And a 0-0 draw at pittodrie

We would then be 3 points behind with an outside chance of 3rd in that scenario, providing we win the derby and celtic don't let their troosers fall down in the final game.

St lie down are well capable of getting a draw up sheep land, smashing the spoon burners on the last day and securing third is ball tingling 😎

Snap my cock off for this right now.

That would be great as a draw would be useless to Aberdeen if we stuff the vermin.

Sadly, these players are not capable of beating Rangers. The proof is in the pudding as they say.

We can't even lay a glove on them on our patch let alone Ibrox.

An all out defensive game and scrape a nil nil would be a great result imo.

Can we take anything? I'm confident. 1-0 to us, Shankland.

Keep the momentum up from yesterday and that's not a too unrealistic prediction. 6 points from our last 2 is doable.

0-0 is useless if Aberdeen beat St Mirren. And the only scenario where a draw is any better than a defeat here is if Aberdeen draw with St Mirren and Celtic and we beat Hibs (we would finish ahead on goal difference).

We can't bank on St Mirren getting something at Pittodrie so this has to be viewed as a must-win game.

As good a chance as we’ve had in a while but they’ll still be too strong. Difficult enough to go away to any team in this league and win never mind Ibrox.

Just need to make sure we are ready for next Saturday.

Can’t see us taking points there but you never know. How I’d love to be wrong. Naismith I think will at least set us up to give it our best shot.
as others have said defence is my concern. We miss Halkett and need to strengthen there in the summer.
