Snoddy:

"We had to win the battle," Hearts veteran Robert Snodgrass tells BBC Sportsound.

"We had to dig deep at times, it was tough to get a foothold. Hibs had a lot of possession but didn't do much with it.

"With this group of lads, I'm enjoying it. I'm just using my experience to help them.

"Hearts are a massive club, there's no question about it. The next step is breaking into the top two. How do we get there?"

Im in love with so many of these Hearts players atm.
Great times.
Snoddy has been fantastic.

Imagine Paterson in the midfield and up front when necessary.

Chaos!!!

More Goals!

The only place Paterson gets a game in this team is RWB.

If Lee Johnson is sacked he can always get a billing as a comic, with quips like Hibs have the best forward line outside the OF and todays -we are targeting third or fourth place this season.

His right out of the book of management cliches comment that they 'only have to play for the moment' is going to haunt him.

There's only one Lee Johnson.

Some great comments on this thread from fans of other clubs about the Jambos

Am I correct that Shankland's 1st goal was v H1b5 and his 20th also?

Absolutely mate. This team has mettle. Seen a number of Hearts teams who if they went a goal down you knew a draw was the best you could hope for. I would not say that about this team. They have a belief and a resolve about them when they are playing the other nine non OF teams in the Premier League. The next step is to start developing a level of belief when we go up against the OF. Obviously we will lose more than we win against those two teams but we should be looking to make ourselves awkward opponents who give them a really hard time more often than not. I think we're good enough to fill that role.

👍 Great and Robbie and his team have fostered that mentality.

The boss wants to win👍

This is good on so many levels.

Have to admire the way the Hibs fans stood up in admiration and respect for a great goal.

Hearts in calm waters'

FT: Hibernian 0-3 Hearts

Tom English

BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on Sportsound

Hearts have put together a terrific squad and in Shankland they have an exceptional player. Kye Rowles has been an outstanding signing. Look across the city and there's the soap opera around Ryan Porteous - where is he going? Meanwhile, Rowles has locked down a five-year deal.

One club is in a state of flux and the other is in calm waters.

This has to be the next step it won't be easy but we can do it

Just saw Saka get a far heavier contact from the Man Utd player than Shankland on Bushiri. No booking!

Just shouted that at the TV.

WTF!!??

Oh yeah, I remember now.  The first goal coming just 35 minutes before HT then the second 27 minutes after half time.  We won the game in that 62 minute spell either side of HT.  Reporter clearly left before FT.

Thank you, Hearts.

What a superb, battling display, coupled with incredible finishing.

Absolutely outstanding. I’m so pleased for everyone involved.

The staff and team are clearly doing utterly brilliant work.

A thought though, for the Hibs player, was it Bushiri… It looked like a horrible knee injury, sustained right at the end of a defeat. Absolutely horrible thing to happen. It looked to me like he’s done his knee ligaments. Hoping it’s not as serious as that. He was in some agony there. Wishing him all the best.
