Absolute nonsense, if people feel the need to indulge themselves in her death then so be it, that's their choice, but don't force others who have zero interest in events to abide by the fake grieving process that's being forced upon us, because those of us who would rather the games went ahead now have no choice, and that's absolutely wrong.

No one is asking you to indulge or grieve.

Youth football is on so go watch a game.

is it too much to ask the Neanderthals in our support to behave for 60 seconds?

They couldn't even get the words right.

It's 'God Save the King' now...

I'm a decent person. I don't care for her protecting her brood from the law of the land.I didn't care for her cold reaction to her daughter in laws death either. Some of us look deeper than the narrative. This however should be in the shed.

A head of state in any country dies then there will be postponed public events , its one weekend I guess no-one will object to an extra day in the holiday allocation , this also means we will avoid another minutes silence car crash,  perhaps some of the trolls so mock outranged by the country paying its proper and entirely expected respects   can go down to the local cemetery and sear and  boo at some funeral goers instead

What if I don't respect her? As many others don't.

Then stay quiet and respect others that do.

Our game would have been off on Sunday anyway if you see the nick of all the roads shut in town and will only be worse on Sunday/Monday and policing wouldn't allow it.

The governing bodies had the choice to play or not. They as GOVERNING bodies have chosen that games will not be played. Its a decision you do not like, but it's a decision nevertheless.

Therefore we will all have to abide by it.

I am sure in your life to date and in the future there will be decisions made that you don't like, and you will have and will make decisions that other haven't, and won't like. That's life.

Football will be played again, and football at times won't be played again, but I'm sure at the end of the day, like me you will come through it.

I didn't say they were, however I feel it's being forced upon us, why does football and other sports have to be suspended but other areas of business continue to trade throughout it all?

For clarity. I'm not agreeing with the disrespect at a minutes silence. Even I could respect that and take other peo ple's views into consideration. It's the bringing other things to a standstill I'm against.

The cricket is still on all weekend too, opera as well, and folk still have to go to work, just to make sure the riff-raff know their place.

A complete overreaction, undoing plans made by hundreds of thousands of people up and down the country, many of them apathetic about the monarchy. All the right wing fools who are obsessed with wokeism completely miss the irony over them being consistently over the top about Britain and the monarchy. Fair enough if you don't want to go as you are mourning (I personally don't actually agree it genuinely is mourning unless you know the person who passed) but leave everyone else to choose.

Spot on. The absolute state of some people over this. By all means, as an individual, if you wish to, pay your respects in whatever form you want to, but let the rest of us get on with it.

Nothing is being forced you can happily go about your daily business. Football isn’t being forced to stop either, those that run the game have decided to postpone as a mark of respect. My sons Scottish cup game is going ahead on Saturday so I’ll be going to that as planned.

Rugby's on at the weekend. As is cricket, formula 1 and likely golf. Football has to fall over itself to try and look respectful though. Woke nonsense as the kids probably say.

Golf, cricket and English rugby all on. Football definitely jumped the gun. Every game could have had a minute silence to mourn for those who wanted to. Now everyone will just go about their Weekend. Poor show from Sfa and spfl

To be honest I'm just glad it gives us extra time to hopefully do better on the injury front.

God knows how I'm going to get through the next couple of weeks with BBC News taking over all the channels.  Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ will have to do for my TV viewing I guess.

Malinga the Swinga

Horse racing back on Sunday but not at Musselburgh as Queens' body lying in state in Edinburgh.

I'm sure by next weekend we will all be grateful for the break.
