So labour have accepted a right wing tory mp into the ranks .

Natalie Elphick MP stands beside likes of Braverman and Mogg on many issues .

Supporter of fire and rehire .

The direction of Labour is rightwards , but thevscottish branch won't tell you .

She's one of nastiest right-winges in parliament. If Starmer had a backbone, he'd tell her to GTF. But...

Maybe she is part of Labour's plan to concentrate on winning in the south and smashing the blue wall and replacing it with a nicer shade of blue 😆

Got to be broad to accept a character who backs the right of employers to fire and rehire on worse contracts .

And while labour has been accused of gerrymandering local branch votes to remove so called left leaning potential candidates .

It's why they won't let Diane Abbott back

So the strategy is now to outflank the tories on the right? WTAF? Does Starmer stand for anything?

Desperately need some adults with integrity and a plan in the room, this is way past farce o'clock.

No.

I reckon the equivalent Labour version of the 'More Tory Lies' thread will surpass its blue rosetted version inside 18 months.

The utter seethe when y'all realise just how absolutely shite they really are will be a joy to behold.

Monty leaves the George Galloway party.

You'd think the auld grifter and blawhard would be rich enough to cover his party's deposits?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68976806

Quote

Mr Galloway, who became the Workers Party's first MP in February after winning the Rochdale by-election, has said Labour was his party's "number one enemy because we seek to replace them".

He claimed last week to be in talks with Labour MPs and a Labour peer about potentially defecting to his new party, although nobody has been announced yet.

Among the other Workers Party candidates, who will be expected to cover the £500 deposit for standing in a general election out of their own pocket, are former UKIP MEP Amjad Bashir, who defected to the Conservatives in 2015 and two former British ambassadors, Peter Ford and Craig Murray.

The way FPTP works I'd expect Labour to do enough to win the election by themselves.

However, based on results so far, I'm not sure you're going to see the kind of landslide that the opinion polls would suggest.

No where near it.

And I will not be surprised one bit when the Tories win.

Either way imo the next 5/6 years will see a marked decline in public services and middle class wealth.

Finally hopefully Scotland will fancy it's chances.

They shouldn’t even be accepting Tory defectors who have played their part in destroying this county.

When a standing MP/SMP moves to another party or dies, it should generate a by election.

If a PM or FM resigns, it should result in a general election

I'd never want to be part of any broad church that welcomed somebody as extreme as that. Scottish Labour would go well up in my estimation if they called this out.

We vote every 4/5 years..

We know what we vote for sort off

And if we are voting for anything but policy and direction we deserve the shite we get.

A continuation of economic policy, a continuation of foreign policy, a continuation of immigration policy. No new ideas. Austerity 2.0

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

To be fair they've done a great job mugging off the gullibles to be that far ahead in the polls.

Wee Kate would be better served in Trumps Republican party going by her views on gay marriage and abortion.

Richard Murphy on Labour and Elphicke.

https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2024/05/09/starmer-has-no-ethical-or-political-framework-to-guide-his-actions-and-that-is-why-he-will-fail/

Quote

In this context, the welcome of Natalie Elphicke into Labour Party ranks was another clear indication of the total abandonment of principles inherent in this policy. Who cared that her comments on migration have appeared racist? What does it matter that she is anti-abortion? What is the problem with her having supported her sex-offending ex-husband? Why worry that she has persistently supported the increase of inequality in the UK? She believes in the power of markets. Isn't that enough?

Elphicke was handing out Tory leaflets about 48 hours ago. Said Johnson was an extraordinary PM, had a pop at Marcus Rashford etc…

Starmer is a joke  she should’ve been told to sling her hook.

It's an awful look when Labour are accepting cliff-howlers like this lovely lady. If she isn't the absolute antithesis of what Labour are meant to represent, then what ****ing point is there in voting for this lot? Starmer's entire spiel seems to be that they might be slightly less ******* than the existing government and perhaps bring a modicum of competency?

Guy speaking about things on radio 2 just now and said never ever doubt the southern English’s slavish devotion to the tories.
I’ll piss myself if the tories win this next election.
