Ginnelly has to start for me.  He has scored 3 against them this season.  Some players just seem to score against certain clubs. Nade v Hibs or Stephane Paille v Motherwell etc.

Or Robbo v hibs...

Or skacel

Or MacPherson

Or jc

Or Foster

Or Washington

Or Uche

Hope the game goes ahead, besides from me getting up at 4am excitedly to watch it on Hearts tv, this is a good time to get them with their injury issue's. 🙏 if it goes ahead - Hearts win.

No chance this is going ahead tomorrow

Why not? Not much snow fell in Perth and no snow expected tonight or tomorrow

Watching the news, I thought the problem was strong winds.  Is that not the case in Scotland?

England had the wind. Scotland had a light dusting of snow. But like usual the country comes to a standstill

Snow really heavy in Perthshire.

Do you get a refund for any ticket bought if game is off?

No it’s usually valid for the rearranged fixture.

I don’t want to go midweek 🙁

I might call them if it’s off and see what they say etc

I’ve no long left Perth and there was  hardly any snow so can’t be a pitch inspection for snow surely 🤷‍♂️ Don’t they have covers to put over the pitch anyway? Undersoil heating?

Think they are at it.... probably had the sprinklers on

Their pitch is a bog on a good day.

Local paper suggesting a waterlogged pitch is possible due to undersoil heating melting the snow

I'm sure Motherwells problems that they had with their pitch was initially caused by the groundsman turning on the undersoil heating to melt the snow rather than clear it

Even if they didn’t there wasn’t really any snow, what they did have melted.

How can a top flight game be in danger yet most of lower leagues will all go ahead

With all their injuries it would suit St J to have the game postponed.  They may therefore do very little to ensure the pitch is playable.

The problem with Motherwell pitch was they had a layer of hard compacted soil underneath the surface that stopped drainage and the roots rotted.

We had the winds on Wednesday/Thursday. I didn't see the 'risk to life's warnings getting pumped out of the MSM like they did today.

Used to cycle to Peebles and back.  Easy peasy.  Sprinted all the way. Would take me a fortnight now.

And I'm proudly from the world's greatest city.

Edinburgh.

My son is good mates with their kit man, he says the pitch is sodden and he thinks it’ll be off.

no doubt all the snow has been allowed to melt on it just to make sure

Usually send a local ref.

They have local refs in Perth?  Thought they were all from the Weeg.

Honestly think St.Johnstone are at it here, firstly they don’t put any cover over their park knowing it’s to snow then rather than move the snow off the park they let it melt knowing it will make the park heavy going.

Plus as I said earlier there wasn’t that much snow so even if it did melt it shouldn’t make pitch unplayable.

We did but wind speeds weren’t as strong as they were down south ,100mph winds.

Also more populated areas so higher risk of more destruction. 3 people died today so I think risk to life warning justified

All roads lead to Gorgie

Over here in Fife the ground conditions are like the Everglades. Never seen so much water running off the slopes, Perth will be the same. I hope the ref gives the game the nod to go ahead though as we need to get over the dip in form asap.

Ice predicted overnight.  That will probably seal the deal.

Irony is, tomorrow's forecast is actually quite good.

Not really to fall much below freezing then a nice sunny morning so shouldn’t be any ice esp if they have under soil heating on

On the other hand if we get Halkett back that will benefit us.

I think it will be some weeks before Halkett is back fully fit
