I reckon making Jam is easier than making mash tatties. Chuck raspberries in a pot and heat them till theyre boiling. Add sugar, let it dissolve/bring back uo to boil. Melt in a little butter. Pour into jar. Edited August 1, 2023 by hughesie27

That's my point, of I accept the point of health issues, but all the extra energy and plastic it takes to put ready made mashed potato on the supermarket shelf is a getting ridiculous, we all hear about plastics and pollution and food miles and the rest but folk, who don't need to, buy this type of thing. kila
I use the microwave to heat up the milk/melt butter in a cup before I pour it into my mashed tatties pan. Never use cold milk/cream, will make the mash go a bit lumpy. Sweet potato mash is the way forward anyway, tastes pretty good already so doesn't need much added to it. Celeriac and Potato mash is my favourite, salt, pepper, butter and a wee bit of nutmeg.

Interesting fact about Rosa Parks is that she wasnt the first black woman to refuse to give up her seat which led to the bus boycott. There were several but amongst the first was a teenager called Claudete Colvin some 9 months before the NAACP decided to use Parks and back her legal challenge due to her being older, more scceptable and more photogenic.
