Looks like Robbie has nailed it again re friendlies just to keep fans onside.😂

Isnt it true, at least to some extent, that these embarrassing league cup qualifying games are effectively our pre-season friendlies?

The sooner they are a distant memory, the better.

Tenerife are in talks with Hearts about a possible match for suso's testimonial, no dates yet, would be played  in Tenerife

Maroon tinted glasses 2

I spoke with a business associate today who is a massive Leyton Orient fan. Seems to be under the impression he will be up in Edinburgh for a pre season friendly against Hearts and is over the moon due to the teams footballing links to the Somme and WW1 as he has never been to Tynie. I'm happy if this is the case as I can head north also and take him corporate on the company credit card

Anyone heard about a possible friendly against Millwall? Have a friend from down south who thinks they are coming up here to play Hearts.

Not confirmed yet, but Millwall were looking at a training camp in Edinburgh again and possible games against Hearts and the farmers. Might be behind closed doors though.

Firing down to Berwick (me and wee lad) for the first Pre-season game. Any recommendations re accommodation/pubs/eats...................... not cheap for a one nighter £140 for the Kings Arms (which I have booked but can cancel). Any advice appreciated.  Which makes it a £200 venture pre drinks and meals .... I've missed seeing my team so much!!

I envy you.  One of my best Hearts experiences was a pre-season friendly against QoS.  Think we went on the Pivot bus.

Glarious day.  Loads of Jambos.  Great atmosphere.  2-0 win.  Think Andy Lynch got them both.

Andy Lynch - what an enigma. A very decent winger with Hearts then Stein signed him for Celtic for £35k and turned him in a really effective Left Back. Became Celtic captain for a while.

Only embarrassing if or when we fail to qualify.

Saw us play at the New Den a few years back. A return game overdue.

Young middle aged and old. 58 years of hurt for us in the wee cup as some call it. Our inability to win it says more about Hearts than the cup.

Return rail tickets and match tickets purchased for our group. It has been a long wait since March 2020 to get back to a football game and despite it only being a friendly we are certainly all looking forward to this game, and the pre match socialising.

They have just opened a new Premier inn in Berwick, rooms starting at £29 a night.

Go to Limoncello Italian and get a 3 course lunch for £6.95, served from 12-5pm

.Restaurant Berwick | Northumberland | Limoncello (limoncellorestaurantberwick.com)

Did you not check first if Berwick are on the Official Kickback Boycott List? 😜

Easily done, but i think the fact you're going over the border means it's allowed.

Enjoy!

Why would they be on the " Official Kickback Boycott List? 😜"

Berwick was in the Lowland League at the relevant time.  They didn't have a vote on the ending of the SPFL leagues in 2019/20.

Remember his header at the school end against Newcastle in the Texaco Cup in 1971

I'd forgotten about that, but I remember his league debut goal against Motherwell at the Gorgie Road end when he scored from a very tight angle past Peter McCloy.

How do you get tickets for the friendlies like the game against Linlithgow?

Rose social club are selling them it was announced on their facebook page check that out. I got Spartans ticket via the Fanbase app I don't know if Linlithgow Rose will be selling on there - Spartans v Dunfermline only got 350 tickets so i'd imagine Linlithgow v Hearts would be the same and likely to sell quick as Linlithgow draw a fair amount of fans.

I truly envy those of you going to Berwick.  Hope you get glorious weather and ser a few young Jambos showing a bit of promise.

I know this will be a polarising opinion but if I had the choice of going to that game with Jambos or going to the CL final. I'd choose that game every day of the week.

I will watch one group of multi millionaires battling it out against a similar group on the telly but it's only of passing interest to me.  When I heard the commentators at the England game mentioning Chelsea's CL win, I had to look it up to see who they had beaten.

I'll remember the Berwick Rangers v Hearts result for a good deal longer.
