Exactly.

And i wouldn't know how they play, i've not watched them since us beating them after an outstanding save from Craig Gordon and them missing a penalty.

Where would we be without Craig Gordon by the way?

Papers over even more of the Neilson cracks.

There does seem to be some myth going about, from people with an agenda, that Craig Gordon is leaping about making world class saves every week when in fact the vast majority of his saves this season would have been made by Ross Stewart. He’s normally pretty much a spectator - an example being against Arbroath when they had zero shots on target. From memory, he’s probably made less than 5 exceptional saves all season but, yes, our league position is all down to him? - I’m not buying that. Look back at most of the match player rating threads and they’ll say things like ‘Nothing to do - 6”.  He does, no doubt, provide a calmness and confidence that helps our back 4 in general though. Top goalkeeper for sure.

Back onto the topic, and it’s of course great we are on a 9 game unbeaten run. Be even better to win every game but that just doesn’t happen in any proper league. I’d sign up for 3 wins and three draws in our final 6 games now and then move on to the Premiership - obviously prefer huge margin victories though but does it greatly matter in the big picture? We’ll have a massively different team next year so let’s just get out of this league and progress the squad in the summer. Onwards and upwards! 👍

This, the only thing that’s of any real importance this season is to win the championship and get back to the premier where we belong .

Yeh and losing to a team of part time players who haven’t played for 10 weeks in the Scottish Cup doesn’t matter a feck! 🙄

That post was 2 days ago.. And

Someone actually posted they wanted us beat on the match day thread so Robbie might get sacked.

I don't believe he was the only one.

So do you still think Neilson is the man to get us back to a top four team in the Premier league?

That's the run of draws ended, so unbeaten in 7 now, 4 wins 3 draws.

2 home games and 1 away game coming up, I can see us being 10 unbeaten and the league over.

Can we see the league season out unbeaten?

I'd have rather seen out a cup tie against a part-time team from the Highland League unbeaten if I'm honest. You crack on though...

I don't think a cup result this season will impact the league position next season, football doesn't work like that, so yes, he has as good a chance as any, if not more having done it with us already.

He still has as good a chance as any manager to finish up high in the league next season imo.

However, cup performances are also part of his job and yesterdays result as I said is easily a sackable offence and gives certain sections of our support they disaster  they craved for ( last time it was the hibs sc defeat) and no matter what he does now it will be hard to recover from, it was the worst result in our history.

Whatever happens next we are not guaranteed under any manager to do well or top 4 in the league next season.

I still think we will be about the top 4 tho, an utter gutterball of a cup result doesn't change that.

Off topic tho.

The joy you get from being correct seems to be out weighing the disaster of Hearts getting beat and knocked out the sc.

That is tragic tbh.

I think there is no way back for Robbie now, but on promotion I still expect us to be around the top 4 under Robbie or a manager.

You may think or expect different, but try not to enjoy our worst result in our history too much as you strut about with your chest puffed out as another manager fails with us.

Amazing how someone’s view can completely change on the strength of one result.

Poor SRB, so blind it took defeat against Brora to finally turn.

Nah,

Last nights result will not impact in any way our league performances next season, under Robbie or someone else imo.

I don't think football works like that.

But imo Last nights result was a sackable result.

Mods change thread to unbeaten in 45 minutes against a PT time who have only trained 5 times in three months whilst playing 1 game and 3 league games all season!!!!

You too!

Looking good weather for a game.

A defeat would be unthinkable Tbh.

This group of players could not be counted on if somehow Dunfermline got close to us.

Imagine relying on them in the playoffs!

Promotion is still to be rubber stamped, a win today all but confirms it, defeat today before we play Dunfermline... They would smell blood.

Can't see Dunfermline winning both games in hand, but as you say, let's win today, put promotion to bed.

if we lose today but win or draw next game we could go for something like :

”10 league games unbeaten (not including the qos  game on 27/3)”

still factually correct and still celebrates that we’ve gone a number of games unbeaten almost in a row

:)

Changing it now to: "2 games without a win against part-timers" would be an accurate and fair representation.
