honestly i reckon you're right, would have been better off extending his contract rather than bringing in popescu. Think we should be aiming higher though at this point in the season

As others have suggested the only CB that should be kept beyond this season is Soapy and he has been out with a long term injury, That says it all about the other 3 doesn't it, We are going to need at least 3 CB's if we go up.

Dikamona would have done a job for us in the championship, Better than anything we have at the minute. Although i dont think he is good enough as a starter in the SPL maybe a squad player at best.

Why do people still talk about Souttar as if he will ever play for us again in any significant way?

Because, he will.

He’s back running again, we saw that a couple of weeks ago.

With the injuries he has had, if the specialist advice was to retire, we’d have heard by now. So clearly he hasn’t been told that. I think he will be back and playing for us - that’s not the question. The question is whether he will be able to do it without succumbing to another long-term injury.

I'd be quite happy not to see Souttar this season if it ensured there was no possibility of the lad being rushed back and having this happen again.

Its such a bloody shame. I really want to see him see the back of his injury problems, but who knows? Hopefully the club are extra cautious and make sure he's being built up incrementally and not feeling under any pressure to push himself into the first team. He's been a great player for us and I think everyone is more than happy to wait until he's genuinely fit before getting him back involved.
