I can’t remember the last time a Hearts striker scored a hat trick, people will say it was 2 penalties and it was against Raith so he can’t win. That last goal was brilliant. Pace, tricks and a great finish 💕

nice bit of cash in my bank now as well

Well done Craig Wighton. That must be something similar to what everyone talks about seeing in training that has never been witnessed in an actual game.

Good result but we're far from being convincing.

That third goal has flattered us.

In fact.. with Henderson’s miss and that one from Wighton this could’ve been 4 or 5 at least. And I wouldn’t say we’ve been great.

I'm not at the game and can't comment on the performance buy I am delighted with that 3rd goal.  We have fielded a scratch side and I think the critics might bear that in mind.

Meanwhile, in Forfar......

Tennant's 6's

Haring, in his  first competitive full 90mins for over 18 months is MotM.

Kingsley just as assured at the back.

McGill has got to be ahead of Cochrane & Lee for CM.

Great confidence booster for Wighton.

Lots more witl needed on the training ground though. Get those triple training sessions sorted Robbie

Played 3 won 3 and, thankfully players to come back in, gain match fitness.
TBH when I saw the team I thought we might actually lose the game but sounds like the subs made us worse

Full game for Haring too.

🙂

Good first half. Looked burst for the majority of the second.

Needed to stay on his feet a lot more than he did.

Absolute Scenes

Think it’s fair to say our play slowed right down when the “senior players” came on. Some of these young guys are definitely in line to start this year. Ollie Lee, Jordan Roberts, Harry Cochrane, Jamie Brandon - you lads better start acting like footballers. No where near good enough displays.

Wighton needs someone with him, he should never play on his own again

Good win considering the line up. McGill looks promising. Quite a few of the team no where near good enough for the hearts first team however. Great to see Haring get a full 90, what a man he is!

3 games, 3 wins but will need to significantly improve the performance level on Friday. That wasn't great again tonight, granted a weaker team but we actually seemed to go get worse when our more experienced players came on.

Good to see big Pete get 90 mins and Wighton has surprised me with that performance. Done very well.

White, Brandon, Moore, Henderson and Cochrane will never be good enough for Hearts though. Bar one good cross, Frear looks pish too.

Didn't see first half but what I gather it was miles away from a first choice line up, so in that sense a very good win.

Wightons 3rd was just brilliant. Hope that gives the lad some confidence.
