Livingstons stadium sponsorship with Toni macaroni has ended and not renewed. They look to be ****ed on all fronts right now.
relegation Incoming,, pitch soon to be needing replaced to grass if they want to be involved again in top flight and now Sponsorship ending. looks grim as for hell for them

Would I be surprised if they go out of business and one of bigots tries to take their stadium and place in league for B team to take their place in whatever league they end up in. Nothing would surprise me in future with spfl. It might be fanciful but im sure they would love their B team in lower league then they could sod off to engerlund not that english would want them but money talks nowadays. Maybe its the booze haha.

I dont get the hate of Livi. More established  clubs toil to attract a support

Livi by and large is a weegie overspill  and TBF still has a huge Hearts support to its credit and from the off

They are best in the lower leagues though as the offer F all, like Hamilton

we always have a great away day there. But the games are usually awful and that’s down to their pitch and game approach.

Whats going on here (from BBC SPort) -

Brighton and Brentford are looking into potential partnerships with Dundee United on the back of the SFA's decision to allow Bournemouth co-owner Bill Foley to buy a minority shareholding in Hibernian. (Daily Record)

Have the Arabs got a new generation of Souttar/Gauld types of talent coming through ?    Or has Mark Ogren got the begging bowl out  ?

Must be - why would anyone part-owning an EPL club want to buy a stake in Dundee Utd ffs ?    Its even more absurd than Foley buying into Hibs.  You'd imagine the prospective buyer will only go ahead if they get promoted.

Same could be said for any football club, in fact the bigger the club the bigger the investment and losses.

The owners of Chelsea,  man citeh etc are not making money. They've spent Billions over the years.

£3/£4m would sort out most Scottish teams and bring them relative success.

Not sure why spunking  a few million on Scottish clubs is looked down on, while burning  £billions or £100's of millions on an English or French club is viewed differently and positively.

Nobody else find it a bit suspicious Hibs and the two Dundee clubs ran up unsustainable losses season on season before the multi club ownership model was approved . Almost like the owners wanted to be able to make the deals more palatable in a ‘ this is the only option left ‘ sort of way

It does have a ‘drive down the stock’ type of vibe to it, now you mention it.🤔 Not that any of them had high stock to begin with. But it is an interesting take.

If you were going to propose a merger of the two Dundee clubs you would find it easier to get some fans onboard if it was presented as this or extinction

Yes, it would be a case of support Dundee City( other names for a merger could be used) or have no football representation in the city at all.

As for our neighbours across the city? They would sign a pact with the devil himself if it meant having something over us.

Could be something like that - new investor not really bothered about the fortunes of the Scottish club so long as it serves a purpose ?      If thats the new trend, surely the SPFL  have to get involved and set some rules  regarding player loans ?   Otherwise we'll  become even more tinpot than we already are.

Finished 4-1 with Fiorini scoring the 4th. Neither Denholm nor Neilson got on.

Think the United/Raith friendship is cracking as Raith not happy their allocation for next week has been cut to around 1300, compared to the 1900 they received in December.

It's a bit mad that as it stands, if Cove Rangers equalise against Hamilton then Falkirk win the league.

Neither Dundee Utd or Raith are any good and it appears it's like two bald men fighting over a comb as to who comes up. I'd be very surprised if either beat whoever comes 11th over 2 games.

Hamilton have scored twice to make it 3-1 so the League 1 title race goes another week. Falkirk just need 1 win to get the title.

I'd fancy Raith over two games in a play off rather than Dundee Utd to get promoted, but that said no guarantee whomever finishes second will actually make the play off final!

Bored and with no Hearts match on I watched the Dundee Utd vs Inverness game . Dundee Utd were pretty awful (less awful in the second half).

Amazing finish for the equaliser, but all of the Inverness team claiming a foul on their player by Moult for him to be able to turn and hit the ball. No idea if it was a foul as I missed the replay.

From what I have seen over the last while Dundee Utd and Raith both going through rough spells, but nobody will challenge them for the top two spots now. So it's all about who can arse it up the most from now until the end of the season.

That’s a good point, you are right, no guarantee at all given how inconsistent they all are. Just think the 2 legged nature of the final really favours the top league team with the 2nd leg at home. Am I right in thinking Hibs are the only prem team to be relegated through the play offs?

Agree that it's weighted in favour of the prem team.

One off final at Hampden would be better, imo (or some neutral venue that would look full!)

Yes, I think another Hibs pioneering moment!

Was at the game. First ever Football ️ game for two grandsons. Great crowd of 5600 but FC Edinburgh were poor. Plastic pitch is better than the two in Premier League.

Its a pity ICT are generally so sh1te (or at least inconsistent) - it would be lovely to see them finish above Broonie's mob, who then get hammered in the L1 playoffs. :scenes:

I went to the  stenny v Peterhead match today. Neither keeper troubled mainly due to the strong wind blowing down the length of the pitch. Only incident of note was a forearm smash by one of the Peterhead players  that Andy Robbins would have been proud of and not even getting a talking to despite it being right in front of the standside linesman.

Been wanting Ayr to lose every game since Scott Brown arrived there.

He seem to be taking them down the table, rather than up.

And probably their most important game coming up next Saturday.  Utd. vs Raith at Tannadice.

A win for Raith up there would put them 2 points clear with a game in hand and 6 left to play.

That would be the sort of position Queens Park or Arbroath bottled it from, though!
