Good answer.
Nothing to with why a team has little or no minorities in 2020, and whether it’s an extension of the community as a whole in the light of an racist incident. Burnley has a 12% minority population, about average for the U.K. as a whole, yet only one black player and two of mixed race. A coincidence or a specific policy by a manager that continually moans about divers and cheats, usually foreign players. Is the signing policy because of this?

FFS you're on a roll. Now Sean Dyche is a racist.

You are like a cartoon character

Do people realise when they quote minority percentage, that most Pakistani, Indian, Sri Lankan, and West Indian folk prefer Cricket to football. He's lost the plot, he thinks all white people are racists and should be ashamed to be white.

It seems so.

Call someone an arse on here and get a ban but freely throw the racist slur at posters and now public figures and nothing happens.

Maybe the mods are all ANTIFA :ninja:

Great post, I met Alicia in Glasgow at the Rise launch a few years back, she gave a rousing speech and got a standing ovation from around 400 folk,  apart from the current leader of the Scottish Socialist party.
The movement they started has moved on and represents so much more now as it has grown.
Marx theory is that capitalism will burn itself out, is this what we’re seeing all around the world? I hope so.

Folk looking for people to hate and blame.

Of course white people have been subject to police brutality. The issue is that people who are not white are at a higher risk of it.

If a black dude is waiting outside a building by himself he is much more likely to be accosted by the police than a white dude. It happens in Scotland. It is systemic racism.

Well I mean that's just made up

Not quite, around 33% of squads have BAME players, they have 10%. I’m sure there’s a good reason.

I’m still wondering why Burnley have only one Black player in a squad of over 30 and how diverse the place is in general.

Presumably you don't believe that in the multi million pound world of the EPL, the Burnley team should consist of local lads? Were you as equally concerned when Arsenal didn't have a single English player in their starting 11?

It is a bit odd that Burnley stand out in that regard. There's a whole host of reasons it could be for though.

Are they local lads? They have a lot of English players, the point is they’re all white. I’m wondering what the reason is, it’s unusual in this day and age. I wasn’t concerned when Arsenal did it, or Hearts or the uglies. I knew the reason why.

Jusr checked Jay Rodriguez is the only player from Burnley.

7 people in ever 1000 in Scotland are black, 33 in every 1000 are Asian. The Pakistani /Indian communities play cricket. So what are you expecting to see in Scotland? It's not systemic racism in this country, and it's  fecking disgraceful that you paint every white person in this country as racist. The poor in Scotland are white, the drug addicts are white, the alkies are white. Let's concentrate on this and make equality for everyone without making others feel ashamed of themselves, just to make you feel better about yourself.

Equality will never happen RI. Nor should it. Equality of opportunity is the important measure. Not everyone wants to or is capable of becoming a brain surgeon or teacher or fireman. As long as it's only ability, intelligence or desire that's holding them back then fine. If it's any other reason then that's wrong.

No, that quote specifically referring to Scotland.

I’m always amazed by folk that have no clue regarding policing policies or operational practices in Scotland yet seem to be desperate to equivocate Scottish police with their US counterparts.

Burnley is in England last time I looked, who mentioned Scotland?
I am concentrating on all these things as I do what I can to help folk change their mind and vote for independence. Showing that this is a country that welcomes folk from anywhere and embraces other cultures is part of that. At no point have I said or indicated that every white personnel is racist, that’s in your mind and you know why don’t you?

I thought you were discussing how black guys are more likely to be arrested, that’s what you were disputing. Are the police in Scotland systemically racist, hard to say really.
