The further back you go, you'll find German relatives (two of her eight great-grandparents, for example), but that certainly is still a long, long way from being half-German. Does that make the Queen half Italian too? It's not an exact science but, for all practical purposes, if a person has four grandparents of a certain nationality it's reasonable to assume that they are also of that nationality. imo, of course.
