Thank you. May have overdone a teensy bit on Glasgow washing habits (although based on Rangers/Celtic supporters, not much) but which parts do you disagree with?

Won't matter what they do, as it's already been decided that in the JJ household there is going to be a proper christmas this year, in fact there will be double the number of people this year then there is normally, feck it nobody is going to ruin our christmas this year.

Umm not if it’s against the law

There are irresponsible people in every society. Some people have always disregarded government advice. People are getting fatigued but most of us still observe the guidelines. The level of support for NS is very high. Even in England the view is that NS has handled this better than UK gov.

Unless of course you have some evidence to support your claim that NS has lost the public.

Doug - judging the shitshow up here against the shitshow down south and in Wales can't really be taken as a measure of success!

Yip, quite astonishing that a brain dead bigot has access to the Internet. Even more surprising that they have a friend that can type out their bile for rhem

Nope, he was correct. Other than the believers, of which I assume you are one, the rest of population are carrying on with their lives and whilst adhering to mask wearing and social distancing, ignoring the rest of NS's vacuous statements.

Check you out you big sexy libertarian 😀

Anyone with common sense should realise that guising with sensible mitigations could happen this year.

The Welsh Health Minister has had to apologise after it was reported that people couldn't buy sanitary products in Welsh supermarkets.

This gets back to what Kay Burley was getting at the other day with the hairdryer analogy, who decides what is essential and what's not.

The most irresponsible people in this shit show are those who made decisions to allow students to travel to university and those who allowed Covid 19 positive cases to be allowed into care homes. That would be Scottish government.

The next biggest fiasco was education with the exam debacle. That was also responsibility of Scottish government.

Havent seen anyone falling on their sword for any of them as yet.

True test of opinion will be elections next year, but as long as media refuse to question, she will carry on getting easy ride.

You don't punish people who follow rules because you can't police people who don't.

Unless you are North Korea.

Is it criminal though, or advisory, and who enforces it?  Doesn't look like the Police are going to.

Do no other illnesses carry a risk of long term chronic disease? Pretty sure all respiratory infections have the same risk, as do some cancer illnesses, but then again, as it isn't Covid, doesn't look like anyone in authority cares.

That is fine then, as every other chronic disease is being ignored.

Not sure who Jason Today is, but he sounds as mind blowingly tedious as Leitch.

Yeah, noticed that too. To think that Eyemouth is less than 10 miles away and you can't sit inside a bar with a drink there.

It is the country where most of us live though and where restrictions are felt. If I lived elsewhere, I would react to the restrictions there.

These other illnesses you speak of probably already have a vaccine or effective treatment or in the example of cancer - you can’t catch it from someone else

So we are willing to take probably as good enough. Must be a relief to those who are suffering from these illnesses now, that their pain and troubles can be brushed aside (probably) with a treatment or vaccine. They certainly don't merit a daily press conference or condolence from NS, unlike Covid 19 cases.

Why should the post be removed? JJ's home could be abroad where there isn't the same protocols in place.

You shouldn't assume...

At least you can sit outside with a drink in Eyemouth, you can't in Dunbar which isn't much further up the road.

So your saying that my post is justifying criminal activity, really.

Well for your information, this year for the first time in about 5 years Mrs JJ isn't working a full shift on Christmas day, meaning for once we will have a 'proper christmas', albeit later in the day, and as there is usually just me at home myself on christmas day, then there will indeed be double the normal number of people with Mrs JJ being there as well.

But you jumped in with both feet and assumed that I was going to be breaking the rules with a party or whatever on christmas day, when in fact it was always just me and the wife, but you assumed something different, and in doing so just made a complete dick of yourself,  imo of course.
