I take it Naismith is out, seeing as there are no internationals coming up

Think it was two weeks out so I’d imagine it’ll be too soon.

3-1.  Wighton to get his first goal and trigger my song for him.

It’s not a remake of the Dennis Wyness song by any chance?

:D

Will be interesting to see the team sheet and formation.

Need a good start, home win predicted but not by a huge margin.

The new manager has laid it out to the players how he wants to play.

A worry is do they have the fitness levels at the moment to play to that style.

Some of them still flag towards the end of the game playing the old way!!!

Think the training sessions from now on will be far more intensive to get to that level of fitness that Mr S wants.

He has watched the last three games so he will have made his mind up about a good few.

I think he may very well give lesser players the opportunity to play the style of football he wants before making a new (his own) assessment, point to note how many players previously played out of position ect...... step up or ship out so to speak.....

There is plenty of time left in the season for improvement and to climb the table but, not so much time left for the January window opening.  Early on he will want to assess who is not up to it which will then identify who he wants to bring in (training does not always show this).  However, this could be detrimental to winning games though if he played someone just to confirm how good they are but they fail.  He needs to weigh that up with putting out the strongest team to win the match.........decisions eh, who’d be a football manager.

He’s not even played a game under Stendel yet.

Come on...

I stick my money on that being nonsense for the time being.

I’m a big fan of Uche but my understanding is that he won’t feature much at all.

Thought Police

Can we all promise to keep calm if it's still 0-0 at half time tomorrow? Get a feeling some might be really getting ahead of themselves (I know, surely not on Kickback!) and expecting miracles from quite a few mediocre players.

I'm not so sure. We need players up top who can lift their head and see a pass, as well as having football intelligence.

Maybe Stendel isn't interested in having a bulldozer up front?

Bazzas right boot

Scoring first would be useful.

Do that I think we'll win 2/3-0.

If we are toiling tho, it could be a bit messy.

It’s interesting. Does Stendel come in and immediately drop the poorer performers to give others a chance, Berra, Bozanic, MacLean etc.?

These guys won’t last long with his style either way.

Looking forward to the new era and new style.

I think Bozanic will get a game under Stendel just like Edwards would have as well.

The first goal is going to be massive tomorrow.

                 Pereira

Smith Halkett Berra Brandon

           Damour Irving

  Morrison Clare Meshino

                 MacLean

3-2 to Hearts.

Crowd singing Stendel's name and cheering Sean Clare's every touch!

Unbelievably, grandpa MacLean is probably our only available striker who can play the Stendel way without needing to be subbed off after half an hour. Would love Uche to prove me wrong but I can see him looking for a new club in January.

I think that not having the sight on the touchline of the gormless Hippy standing pointing and the 2 diddies looking like they are about to burst into song will have a positive affect.

2-0 Hearts. Clare and Walker to score.

I have a feeling Wighton will be involved in the new setup.

I agree. With the lack of fit / quality forwards, it's very likely we'll see him play.

I'm not a fan but he's got a clean slate for me, like all the others.

I fancy us to get a bounce from the new manager and do enough to get 3 points possibly 2-0, 2-1.  Not going to attempt to name the team.  It's going to be strange seeing it around 2 tomorrow, regardless of who he has picked we won't really know what to expect.  Buzzing.

Me too.

If we win, though, I hope I can remember how to react. Do you smile, cheer, applaud, streak naked on the pitch...?

Just sit quietly and rustle your sweetie wrappers like Chairman Budge and her regime demands.

He might just now, but Bozanic isn't good enough going forwards.

Running about stupid does not make you a good football player.

Probably not far off what we'll see.

Uche will need to decide if he wants to be an athlete or a weight lifter. You never know, he might buy into Stendel's style of play and start believing he can be even better and fitter instead of playing the role of big guy up top to punt long balls to - Levein was probably keen for him to be more of a weight lifter.

I reckon Clare will get a goal.

Brandon Smith Halkett Hickey

Irving Damour Clare

Walker MacLean Meshino

High press, loads of width and loads of tempo. Regardless of the result I am just looking forward to seeing us take a game to someone. I think we will blow them away first 45 and then hold onto what we have. I really hope with the change in attitude we see a tiny change in luck, break of the ball etc. About 4 of Doige’s goals for hibs have been deflections, poor keeping, scuffs etc. That little change in luck can make a huge difference. I firmly believe you make your own luck and by setting up to win rather than not to lose, I hope we see it.

Agreed but we don’t have many players just now to play a high tempo game. Short term he might fit.
