We aren't out of the running for third spot. If these guys come back and play the majority of the games left we might be in with a shout of getting up there. That is a very big ask if you look at our performance over the last 38 games. Not impossible but will require a turnaround in fortunes of almost biblical proportions. We're weeks away from having them back to their best. This. Noticed also when he said that Haring was meant to be involved in the Rangers league game that he went very quite when the news broke that Haring went back to Austria to see the specialist again. Haring is miles away from playing again. He cannot even kick a football without feeling pain. How in gods name would he have been touch and go to face Rangers. Captain Canada
Why doesn't Levein focus on the positives? Yes our injury list is horrendous but we still have international players in the likes of Berra, Whelan, Meshino, Smith etc, a keeper from Man United, youth internationals and guys who've played at a very high level down south. The current squad is hardly a complete write-off as his comments yesterday seemed to suggest. Mr Motivator! Our second choice XI should still be a top six side. Can't wait for tonight's excuse. The ref maybe?

HMFC 86
So, another 2 injuries today, including another hamstring. Does anyone seriously believe this is all bad luck and we can’t or shouldn’t do anything better or differently to improve this? No doubt the fanboys will still try and argue there is nothing we’re doing wrong...

Has to be something to do with training methods at the club.
SectionN
Any update on injuries? Washington, Halkett, Souttar & Haring? Would love to see a fully fit Hearts team. easier said than done.
Seymour M Hersh
Hopefully we are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel concerning the horrible injury list we have.
gashauskis9
Halkett’s out of his leg protector, so hopefully he’ll be back light running by the end of the month and good to go after the winter break. Starting to think that Souttar and Washington have disappeared off the edge of the earth.
pettigrewsstylist
One of Whelan/ Haring would be massive. CB problem becoming concerning. Just as important Naismith and Walker get 3-4 games under their belt without issue.
1971fozzy
Washington was always out until January I thought ? Haring must be close but who knows with Souttar ? An update hopefully during the international break would be good
CJGJ
Slowly but surely we seem to be getting a few back.....cue injury crisis in International break !!! Washington was expected to be out for 3 months from mid to late September so just before Christmas re his return Haring had been training but there was an issue when striking the ball but expected back in next 4 weeks if, and we all know it is a big if, there are no further setbacks Halkett was 10 weeks from a report on 4th October Souttar will ? be back when winter break over....cup tie 18th January would be his target Garruccio was 10 months so February 2020 at earliest At the end of the international break players like Walker, Mulraney, Whelan, Damour should be back to 100% Edited November 11, 2019 by CJGJ
Hungry hippo
Not important but Doyle looks to be out for a bit as well. Wasn't on the bench on Saturday and then posted a picture with some protective gear on his ankle after.
Kiwidoug
Hearts aren't too good at giving updates. I'm sure we would all like to know how they are all progressing on a regular basis. I feel very sorry for Garrucio - spelling. Hope he is near to fit and comes back firing on all cylinders.

Hashimoto
Speaking to Doyle after the St Mirren game. He picked up a sore one at training on Friday. Left the ground on crutches.....He's out long term...

Makes some good saves, about equal with Zlamal, and is better than Zlamal with his feet, but I worry he's got a major blunder in him soon. He's got away with a couple. Against St Mirren he spilled an easy shot that gave them back possession and they scored, and it looked like a communication issue between him and Berra was maybe a reason for the second, or maybe Berra's ears are playing tricks on him in his old age. Looked like he got a shout to me.

Looked like he got a shout to me. He’s glued to his six yard box and doesn’t move forward towards the attacker, his kicking is good though. A coach would probably be able to show you mistakes he’s made that’s cost is goals and was lucky at Livi in the Berra red card incident not to give away a penalty and be sent off. I think the new manager will be looking for a new GK in January and if he has to be sent back to Manchester so be it. As for Doyle being injured, meh.
