Is Haring back on the gubbed list? Thought he was close?

Sent back to Austria end of last week to  see the same specialist.

This was the same guy that was meant to be in the squad against Rangers last Sunday.

Apparently he can't kick a ball without feeling pain.

Nearly ready?, what a lot of bullsh*t.

Did we get through the weekends game WITHOUT any injuries? Maybe we should get a plastic pitch 🤷🏾‍♂️, that dammed grass is the root of all our problems I tell ya.

We lost 3 the game before, so I guess it evens out.

There’s barely been a game we haven't had an injury of some sort so hopefully we didn’t pick up any. I don’t for a minute think there’s anything wrong with Whelan, I doubt if he will play at Livi or Killie this season.

So is the list

Halkett

Washington

Haring

Mulraney

Souttar

All gubbed  atm.

Walker and Naismith close to a comeback.

Dikamona, Morrison Wighton, Whelan, Damour all back but not 100% due to niggles and random stuff like the flu.

Cracking stuff.

You keeping saying that Dikamona has a niggle. Where are you hearing this chief?  To be fair, he plays like he’s injured most of the time so wouldn’t surprise me.

He was warming up v Rangers at ht and look hampered.

He was doing sprints 1 to 1 with someone, pretty unusual.

Looked uncomfortable.

Pretty sure it was his thigh maybe a month ago, so just going on all that.

Also not playing.

He's not injured, but not quite 100% it would appear.

Could also be shite, just adding 2+2..

V Rangers he was right in front of us, clearly going through his paces to see if he could come on.

Looked really uncomfortable.

Seems we're at the stage now that our subs bench has players that are not 100% fit on it.

Probably 🤔

Would be like us to ask for a specialist for that but take weeks on end to send players with serious injuries to see someone.

So apart from a keeper its every position we have knackered players in

Defence: Aidy White, Halkett, Dikamona(not 100% fit), Souttar & Garrucio

Midfield: Haring, Mulraney, Walker, Naismith, Morrison, Whelan & Damour

Strikers: Washington & Wighton

got to include guys like Anthony McDonald as well, I believe he hasn't kicked a ball yet at Dunfermline

Lord Beni of Gorgie

4 players back in training, according to this mornings rag, but need to come through that.

Walker, Naismith, White and Damour. Whelan I believe is a precaution, he is going to be the lynchpin for us on Sunday.

Morrison and Dikamona both came on injury free at the weekend, Wighton unused sub.

Those months away are Souttar, Halkett and Garuccio.

Haring is the pelvic puzzle, the one that caused Colin Cameron so much grief 20 years ago

So how many of the returning players will be match fit? They are not just going to pull on boots and be up to speed right away so surely give them a bit part. The main thing is we MUST win this game and losing due to returning players who are not match fit, or returning too soon is out of the question.

Being back in training is one thing.  Being match fit and able to hit the ground running is something quite different.

That said, they've got to play their first game back some time and ideally CL would want Walker and Naisy for Sunday so he may just try and give them some game time tomorrow.  If he does, let's hope it doesn't backfire.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Whelan out tomorrow as he is likely to be sorely needed on Sunday.

We need to give Walker and Naismith some time tomorrow unless they aren´t fit enough, even 10/20 mins.

No chance of winning on Sunday without them unfortunately. It is worth the risk in my opinion.  We will need Meshino Walker and Naismith playing behind Uche with Whelen protecting the defence.

Are Hearts the only club in world football where a player can recover from a broken leg faster than a tight hamstring?

Yes.

But....if you have had a serious knee injury your hamstrings are more vulnerable. Complex picture.

Captain Sausage

So:

White, Walker, Naismith, Wighton and Damour are ‘injury free’ but lacking match fitness.

Whelan will be back this weekend.

Mulraney out for a couple of weeks.

Halkett our til Jan/Feb.
Souttar our til Jan/Feb?

Washington out til...?

Garrucio out til...?

Haring out indefinitely.

Am I right?

Helped us get where we are with that tackle.

Well remembered.

Seemed to have a real determination to do well since his return to the club. Be great to see him firing on all cylinders again.

Just get him a gum shield then and it’s fixed.

Washington and Halkett December returns. Souttar and Haring no idea. Garuccio no idea but will only play if both  Hickey and White are injured.

Definitely worth a try if problem is similar to CCs.  Worked for him.

If all these players are lacking match fitness, why aren’t we giving them development games?  They’re not going to get match fit running lengths of the Oriam.

I doubt if anyone will know for certain butI imagine the Hearts' medical staff will have more idea than most as they are on the spot and not making remote diagnoses.

Listening this morning to talksport and the praise a former English rugby international has for Eddie Jones their coach.

He spoke about the energy levels of the players, how they've all bought into his vision, the enthusiasm within the camp and the leadership quality and man management shown by Jones.

What's this got to do with Craig Levein and this thread on injuries.

Well just for the record England rugby team have actually had only one player missing through injury for the whole of the world cup in Japan. Amazing!

Don't think there is any link between injury, mentality and the way "the ship is being steered"?

The biggest thing I took out of it was suggested to be the level of honesty between Jones and the players.

No mention of trying to protect the players just treating them like men!

I thought CL was an honest chap til I listened to his aftermatch summaries.

Double Dutch and that's polite!

Injuries, no nothing to do with Craig Levein.

HMS Levein is a sinking ship everyone is jumping off it while Ann grabs into the steering wheel while going down.......into the championship. Get the rusty old ***** to **** and get someone new in. Players attitudes will soon change dgaf what any lone says on here that's the fundamental problem. No belief in the management

'Tis but a flesh wound.

Half expecting Levein to come out before the game and tell us Jamie’s had a setback.  “Transpires that Jamie’s had a broken leg since August, so we’ve sent him to a specialist to set up a recovery programme”.

Ha ha, i know i know. Just somewhere between amusing and sad that even decent posters are all woe is us just now!

More likely he'll make bench, need to come on early due to Meshino breaking his willy or something equally obscure. Score 2 to get us level then pull his hammy. What odds paddy?

If all that is in that article is true then I suppose our season pretty much starts next week.

We aren't out of the running for third spot. If these guys come back and play the majority of the games left we might be in with a shout of getting up there.

Levein is quite clear , Walker isn't 100% fit and obviously Naismith even less so. We're weeks away from having them back to their best.
