I really don't want to go back to Tynecastle with him still in charge... it is a place of misery and shite tactics where the opposition outplay us.

It is beyond a joke now, he's coming out with the same lines as he has done all year. He's just on the cusp of greatness, he'll turn it around, he believes in the players etc etc etc.

Ann Budge's silence not helping - her relationship with Levein is far too cosy given he gets away with the first team being in relegation form for nearly a year.

And that is why time is up for both of them.

Fair enough. It's definitely nothing either of us can prove. I think his arrogance and belief in himself is driving him and not his love of hearts.

could be a bit of both

Leveins Battalion

What we need is representation from the FOH and the Federation of Hearts Supporters Groups to remove him from the club. The club is being damaged hugely by his presence now.

Budge saved Hearts singlehandedly.

Now carry on throwing your toys out the pram children.

She had a major role in saving the club, no doubt about that, but she didn't do it single handed.

Also there is no point in saving something only to let it rot away at a later date

Disagree on Budge's time being up. She needs to act on Levein and get a new manager in, but her work elsewhere at the club is commendable and she should keep that up. Obviously if she sticks by Levein to xmas with the results still pish then I'll be changing my tune on her rather quickly!

So is he really saying that if we lose the next 2 games he'll still be around till the end of October!!!??? This is now beyond farcical.

I started of this week thinking best case scenario is away by Tuesday and at worst 2 weeks.

I'm now thinking best case scenario end of October and worst case he'll be here for years.

No theres 2 people to blame. The idiot that cant get a good bunch of players to beat the likes of Hamilton at home and the idiot that keeps him in his job. Both should go.

Why are some people still peddling the "it's personal " bollox.

He's a shit arrogant football manager.

If he was a successful arrogant football manager every single Hearts fan would back him.

Spot on.

Even if there is a handful of fans who know, or have met, Levein personally, their dislike still doesn't make him a good manager.

99.99% are judging him purely on performances, signings, results...

Well looks like he’s been given the next two games to me. Certainly hope he wins them both.

As I have said a few times since Saturday, last weekend was the watershed moment for me. I can’t see him turning this around now. However, I’m damned if I’m not backing the whole team against Hibs and then Aberdeen in League Cup. That would be the same whoever was managing them.

As for “hating” him... Jesus. Some folk need to actually think about what they post.

Yep. And lets face it, unlikely as it seems, if we win the next two and look to have turned a corner then surely thats a good thing?

One things for sure, the next two games decide his fate.

The difficulty will be if we do well but dont smash it. Say 1-1 both games or a narrow defeat in a good game, extra time v Dons or something. Then what happens?

That's kind of where I  am, but I think some people have now made it so personal against Levein that even winning the league would not get them to back him.

But there's nothing more fickle than a football fan, a few good results can change the mood completely, especially if one of those games is a derby

And here we have it.

It’s not ok to question Levein’s horrendous record at Hearts but it is ok to have a go at the fans?

A few good results? Wake up ffs.

Why some of you have put Craig above the club is utterly bizarre.

I know and thats my feeling too, but they're wo tough games to judge on is the thing. We could totally batter Hibs but a derby being as it is, it ends 1-1.

I'm sure he's been told Hibs, Aberdeen to save your job, i just wonder what the criterea is. Performance? Result? Both?

Regardless of what sane people think, the personal abuse is going to get worse. It'll also be increasingly directed at Budge. It will also eventually lead to violence and in fighting in the stands and stuff thrown at CL and the players.

Can be resolved easily by Mrs B listening and acting on the feelings of the support.

I’m of the opinion that I’d never back anyone who thinks that sort of thing is acceptable.

Talk about getting the wrong end of the stick !!!

Where have I backed Levein, where have I had a go at the fans ?????

Just to be clear, no-one is bigger than the club. Not Levein, not Budge no-one

The problem is, there is always talk of the next two games or whatever. The similarities with Cathro are there. He should have been gone in the summer but was given a last chance to turn it round in the new season. He blew it and was, rightly, punted.

We’re bottom of the League. He has to go !

Problem is, he won’t. Predicted by some using evidence of how stubborn he was in the past. I would never accept a defeat from the muppets, never, but if it happens and we get bounced out the LC, and he refuses to go, what then ?

I hope, for the club’s sake it doesn’t happen but to think we will be challenging for Euro places seems farcical right now.

Hamilton was my cut off. Still went to the next game but had just about enough of his pish tbh.

I've got a different take on this from most previous posters.  In stating that I'm fully aware that I haven't had to watch the utter drivel you've bern served up for 3 years now.

Firstly, well done to him for saying something.  Our chair has utterly failed us in that regard.  Secondly, he's given a timeframe of 6 weeks, basically till the end of next month.  Thirdly, although he doesn't mention it, he should have most of his best players back in that time.

If it all comes good during that 6 week period, I'll be delighted.  Coming good to me means consistent performances and a number of victories.

To counter that optimism  if we lose to Hibs and Aberdeen and we are garbage in the process, he shouldn't be afforded 5 minutes of the remaining 5 weeks.

Get the job done Craig or shut the door behind you.

I'd be happy to go along with his statement if it was only a bad start to the season but it's been going on far longer than that. The league table from the end of October last year, in another thread, when the wheels started to come off, is very telling.....RELEGATION!!!

She should have acted after the Livi 5-0 game.  That in itself was a sacking offence.  Why i say that her time is up now is because she has lorded over the utter drivel and underperformance that we have all seen, since the LC semi last year, and she has failed to act. She is now calpable and consequently I believe that her time is up now.

Psychology wise it’s very telling.

He’s created a dictatorship at Hearts and only the supreme leader can fix things.

It’s utter drivel.

I was disappointed that he was brought back to the club and think he has done a poor job as Director of Football and a worse job as manager.  But I think he's right.  A couple of victories aren't far away.  And there will be a group of supporters who would swing back into line after that.  Look at how the mentality changed after we lost but the players tried hard in the cup final.

What the leech really means is

"As I've yet to fully clear my bookies debt, I don't see any tangible reason to quit my position as the worst Hearts manager on record. The minute I've cleared my feet I will take a long good look at just how far I've sunk this great club in the mire and do what I did at Dens and the days before the Schalke 04 and run"

Parasitic and stubborn.

Ask yourself in the position of director of football would you recommend that the head coach be replaced after such a run of results? In any other orbit the answer would be yes.

Now that it's cleared up and the deafening silence broken time to get behind the team.

We'll either be better or he's gone.

Depending on results that gives us time to put a plan B in place.

Not what most folk wanted, but it's a decision and a time scale.

Personally, defeat of hibs and/or Aberdeen will turn the place very nasty.

Win them tho, and fair doos.

He seems to be admitting that he won’t leave until he’s totally destroyed any chance for the guy that comes in to replace him.

Whilst his comments at the weekend were misjudged he’s not wrong, we’re only 6 points off fourth.

He should go now and give someone a real shot to turn things around.

The alternative is a Sunderland situation where we sleepwalk towards disaster

Agreed, social media/forums are the ideal place for people to say things about others that they wouldn’t have guts to say to their face. Some of the vitriol on here has been way over the top, offensive and in some case vile. Sad times amongst what used to be a very decent supporter base. Hopefully it’s only the minority of the fan base on here that are lowering their standards.

You know this whole business has me doubting whether I want to continue supporting Hearts even after all this is done and dusted.

First of all there is the sad sight of one of my all time Hearts heroes clinging on to power when it's been clear for the best part of a year that the club is going backwards.

Secondly we are having to watch the person who helped more than anyone to save our skin five years ago putting her friendship with CL above the welfare of the club and the fans who have dug deep to repay her loan . Even worse the FOH reps on the board seem to be sitting on their hands and joining in with the nodding dog culture in the boardroom.

Then there is the fans, our lunatic fringe is becoming more like a cult than a fringe. A ticket for the away end at an Edinburgh Derby seems to be an invitation to act as a complete dick.

Saturday's protest looked as if it had been taken over by rentamob.

I dread to think what's going to happen if CL doesn’t fall on his sword soon.

I grew up in the era when Hearts were flitting between the top league and first division as it was then, started going regular 82/83.

As an away support and occasionally at home our fan base was brutal. Aggro common place.

With bad results will come more angst and more drama. Its been that way since the beautiful game began imho.

He needs put out his misery. That applies to the overall coaching team.

But the hierarchy needs to read it.

No one likes to give up even at your lowest ebb and especially being in charge of the club you love at the time. Call it stubbornness, delusion or whatever, but the top people at the club need to force change.

It may even come as a relief to the staff as the pressure isn’t going to go away.

Folk saying it's no personal, how can that be.

12 months ago folk wanted him gone, so his record now did not exist. So that can't be used as a reason for wanting him gone 12 plus months ago.

Quite clearly folk that have called him a git, a loser, said he was shagging Budge, amongst other things from over a year ago - it is personal.

It's results based now, and that is why many folk are on board with a change.

But to deny its not personal for some ( some said a defeat to celtic in the sc would be ok if CL definitely left!!!, some wanted us beat of hibs last season as well) is just a lie, the language, the tone, the time scales and the rabid nature of the attacks clearly state it was, some have even said " I don't like the man", that is clearly personal.

All Imaterial now tho. Results from last season were poor, this season results have not improved.

End result, new manager Likley required.

It is possible, but not what I'm reading on here tbh.

Folk saying they're not going back until he goes, cancelling FOH subs is clearly supporting the team.

Talking about walk outs and boycotts is pretty much the definition of support.

Some clearly hate CL more than they love the club.

It's not personal tho, in anyway. 🙄

They just love Hearts that much they don't go to the games when they're in the huff.

We'll need to scrap "walking away is the rangers way" as a song soon.

Even if by some miracle Hearts do win the next two games. The damage is done and irreplaceable for many, Levein simply has to go. A loss will be just around the corner and we’ll be back on this merry go round.

Time’s up.
