Very pleasing to see the amount of well wishing from his former clubs supporters. Plenty also mentioning he's a bit of a baller.

What!!!!! Hibernian???????

"Glenn Whelan has sealed a one-year deal with Scottish top flight side Hibernian, after leaving Aston Villa earlier this summer."

As soon as you saw ‘top’ and ‘Hibernian’ in the same sentence, alarm bells should have went off.

Whatever the thoughts are on things manager-wise, theres no doubt we have a quality centre mid pairing.

It's been a very good transfer window.

On paper, yes.

Certainly we've bolstered the parts of the team that were most in need.

What matters is how they perform on the grass.

Why?

i just think we go for Irish players too often and they are not all that great

Both nations are above Scotland in the FIFA rankings.

We are signing players who play for these international teams.

Would prefer if we didn’t keep signing Irish / northern Irish people though

Why don't you like Irish / NI people?

Good signing.

Another leader on the park to make up for lack of leadership in the dug out.

Welcome.

Can't wait to see a few tricolours to celebrate this, Ken just like Lafferty.

Great pedigree, suited to Scottish football.

Great transfer window.

Time to kick some ass.

Twice!!

Leave Scott Brown alone. He is at fault for every Celtic goal conceded this year. We need him fit and playing... finished.

"I'm here to improve players,  if I can"

You can't buy that kind of plain speaking confidence.

He's not saying players need improved.    He's suggesting he's a cut above.

A little more excited again with new goalie, midfield getting more sorted with chance of the Japanese lad.

I fear getting my hopes up too high before Friday though so I'm going to just keep thinking everything is still pish for now :D

All top teams have more than one leader and people that can “manage” games as required

This

It is well recognised that a small group of the most experienced players in the England rugby team that won the World Cup had a huge influence on training and set up in the final 2 games that won them it.

Woodward put the foundations in place. The team had leaders that took those foundations on and managed the tournament out.

A good signing and primarily because of the guy you stab in the back but cuddle for a photo when given the chance

Delighted with this. Just what we needed a great player with a great attitude.

Welcome to the "Famous" Glen. A great signing IMO should add a bit of steel to the midfield and hopefully improve our youngsters.

Yep, credit where it's due, Levein has played blinder. As Director of Football, the club couldn't e in better hands. On the pitch however it's a different story up till now.

Hopefully a good fit for Hearts, his experience and knowledge of the game, will definitely rub off on the youngsters.

Great signing.

Hearts are also looking to make each signing capable of bringing the clubstore commercial profit. Meshino could be the key to increase as the Asian market is huge and fanatical. Just a thought
