I’m sure Robbie N or some accounts showed the average wage at MK Dons to be around £80k.

Don’t think wages are an issue. Squad depth would be supreme with Sow a part of it.

All I’d say is that to get the best out of Sow he needs to play most weeks.

Whereas with MacLean I think he could come on as a sub a lot and have a huge influence.

It might work having Sow and Vanacek.

I guess it depends who else we want as we do have a budget to stick to.

I will make a guess. He will be a permanent Hearts player by the end of the week.

More of a second opinion rather than a medical

Think the average wage at Hearts is around the £100k/yr mark. Aberdeen were £10-15k ahead of us IIRC.

The Old Tolbooth

If we get Vanecek in we won't need Sow, he'd only be back up to Uche and McLean anyway based on his recent record.

Whats wrong with playing 4 strikers like? a 4-2-4 hoofball? ::troll::

Seriously though, having 6 strikers at the club can only be a good thing. Wasnt long ago we only had 2 and they were both pesh!

According to this (although not sure how accurate) it seems more like they earn about £150k per annum at MK Dons.

Depends which Sow comes back. If it's the one that ripped defences for arse paper first time around with us, then he would be a first pick IMO.

Not sure he'd be first pick over Uche and the proven SPL striker McLean, but if he was anywhere near his best then he'd be an asset, sadly it looks like his injuries haven't just taken their toll on his knees, but they've affected his game as well as his recent record shows, such a waste of a good talent if he doesn't rediscover his old form.

Spot on, Rob.

Fed up wi' folk coming on here with their made up predictions as if they have some kind of inside track to the club's wheeling and dealing. How do you think Ann Budge or Craig would feel if their closely guarded dealings were exposed to the world via social media with a reckless post like Victorian's.

Should be ashamed of himself.

Aye we do the more quality players we have the better and I am quite happy for the club to carry an increase in the wage total of a few individuals Callachan etc

Berra than you

Sow is back down at MK, appears in a video of their squad arriving at their ground tonight. Team news at 6.45. suppose that doesn't mean it's not happening but maybe not likely

Mate who lives in Milton Keynes says Hearts have pulled out the deal to look into  "other alternatives" was the quote in there local sort of team info. so i guess we have someone else or vanacek might get the move?

So Make Some Noise..

Certainly not ITK but I can't help but think it's fairly obvious that Sow's on ice pending the outcome of Vanacek this week. I certainly don't think we'll get both in the door.

Given Sow on the bench for MK Dons tonight safe to say deal must be dead

Not necessarily

He's still their player, they can use him until he is no longer their player.

Might just be a case of us not having made a final decision on it, waiting on other things coming off and we might leave it till 23.30 on deadline day, as everything is more or less finalised and just need to put pen to paper on a late registration on Friday night

How long passed between Lafferty playing his last game and him finalising a move that had been hanging in the balance for days?

From what I heard he had to sort stuff out financially with MK Dons before signing for us. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him here by the weekend.

Great news. The fact that he'd come back here and be middle of the pack in terms of our 'best' player really does say it all.

Sow was an fantastic player for us for 2 years and if he can get back to that form, playing in a much better team, it'll be very exciting.

Imagine Uche, Sow and Naismith up top. Supported by Djoum, Demi and Morrison/MacDonald/Lee. Ridiculous.

This seems to me that the deal could be dead. I'm also sure its related to progress in the Vanecek. Nothing else seems to make sense.

Unless this is a statement from MK Dons

My reading of it as well. Hope thats accurate as would much prefer Vanacek in now than Sow back.
