Alan_R
I wonder, though, in 20 years whether the same people would have the same defining musical tastes. Five bands I listed admitadely don't show the diversity in my music taste. However they've all been on my favourites list for 5+ years. A few have split up and all have created some of my all time favourite albums, I don't see that about to change. I know what you're saying though, I noticed someone (and this isn't a dig, no offence intended) listed 'one republic'- if it wasn't for that apologize no one wouldve heard of them! they have only been around a few years. I'll be very suprised if that same person still listens to them in a few years time.

Dix Handley
The dude in that case is aptly named. Its the young farmers and the golf club members that are convinced (at the end of a heavy night) that they are tapping into something that is in some way related to the kind of life they live! Which is of course... Bull****! (Desperado in particular REALLY gets my hackles up!!)
