What are they going to do for about 8 hours until things actually get going? Cretins.

G.Wright
I was in Lebowskis, argyle Street, yesterday getting dinner with the wee one before disney on ice. Place was rammed. They had some sort of Irish folk play list on which clearly hadn't been checked as a wee sample of the sash came on. Very quickly it was turned down, to be replaced with some generic nonsense before they resumed with the Poges. Made me giggle.

Same in England where they largely seem reticent about celebrating St George's Day. A few years ago a northern Council (Oldham IIRC) weren't allowed to fly the St George on St George's day 'as it might be seen as racist'. Ludicrous. The fact that it’s done almost Europe wide, plus the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand only highlights, rather than disproves, this point. I absolutely hate ‘Poddys day’.
