Same reason I celebrate xmas on the 25th without the mention of Jesus. ...

I mean, why do anything on any day?

I think you have fiendishly missed my point.  :biggrin2:

Strongbow is ok to me.  Dry Blackthorn my all time fav but you just don't see much of it nowadays

:sadrobbo:

Blackthorn is magic, but my favourites were Autumn Gold and Olde English. Scrumpy is nice but mighty strong.:hae36:

The days are gone where you could buy a good old fashioned dry apple cider.  Now it is just a bet to see how wanky a cider you can get.  Kopperberg can proper GTF

What is a Perry?

Cider from perry pears. I'm sure there's more to it but that's it at a high level.

I noticed a lot of the Currant Buns on ‘pussjotter’ were trying to claim St Paddy’s day an some sort of loyalist festival because Mr Guinness was a proddy, pro Brit who hated Nationalism and St Paddy was only a Christian & never a Catholic who was also an Ulsterman. Possibly all true, however trying to turn a pissup into some political point scoring contest seemed to be their thing this year instead of the usual **** the taigs routine.

Some amount of shite in that, especially the wasn't a Catholic straw clutching

Anybody who drinks Guinness is a borderline deviant. It's rotten.

This might be worse though tbf. Have a word man!

We've never celebrated St. Paddy's day here but if we go over to Ireland for it (other half is Irish) then I get involved in the celebrations with them. Good day out.
