If we beat the Birks, lets make the kick off 9.30pm, all get half pished beforehand, rank up the noise and get stuck in. What could go wrong!!!

Once we get past Birkikkiirkirrkara. One things for sure, the next person to ask 'What do we know about FC Krasnodar??will get the answer...'that's the mob that got knocked out by Hearts'.

Lost contact trying to edit that. Actually the 6th best team in this round after 2 each from Belgium & France and one Dutch. Tough as always

for us and I believe not winning last night even if we do get through is bad for the coefficient.

could've been worse. Might have got a Turkish team.

I'd still rather go there.

My first look at a Russian team was Hearts 6 Moscow Torpedo 0

And then Dneipr. If we get there lets not fear them.

Seems to me they are a big mixture of far too many different nationalities.

We got once chance, take it!

If we thought Malta was hot then we're in for a surprise.........it has been 95' this week and next weeks forecast to be in the very high 80's with overnight temps of 70' minimum

This will be a real test for the players health and fitness SHOULD we get through

We're screwed. If robbbie gets us through that, if we get there, then that'll surely put the hater to rest.

That second one is far from tidy.

She's ten to four tidy at the taxi rank.

PS right now it's 30 degrees at 10:26 AM there. If anybody was in Athens in 06, expect that kind of extreme heat. Will make Malta feel like Devon.

We should go into this confidence. We have unbeaten record against Soviet/former Soviet Union teams.

It is quite near Sochi isn't it, sort of roughly.

I'm currently in Crimea (not that far away) and the tempretures have been in the high 30s all week, and its likely the away game will be played in stifling conditions. Unfortunately I'll miss it as I'm away to St Petersburg on the 27th. The Russians love everything to do with Scotland so take Saltires and leave the union jacks at home, they aren't keen on Englanders especially after Euro 2016.

Now I've had time to think about it we should probably just sack trying to beat them as it wouldn't be worth it without that sweet credit from **** knows who.

I really don't know what you've got your knickers in a twist about here. I was talking about the media and Scottish football generally. All I was saying is that Krasnodar aren't a big name, so if we were to beat them it wouldn't make headlines, despite them clearly being a good team with a clutch of international players. I wasn't even moaning, just observing that that's the way it is.

Mind you, even when it's a big name we don't always get a fair crack of the whip from the media. In 1996 we had 'only Hearts let us down' headlines when we were knocked out of the CWC by Red Star on away goals. The same Red Star who were European Champions in 1991.

To answer the OP, they are the the team that's going to take a 3-0 skelping in just over a weeks time.

We should wear the new away kit over there.  They are all racist homophobes in Russia, so the sight of several black players prancing about in girly tops will have them frothing and hopefully put them off their game.

I'm pretty sure Dnipro were favourtes 'back in the day' and we spanked them. I've watched pretty dreadful Hearts sides cope well in Europe so fingers crossed we have a go and let's see what happens.

Club charter possibly leaving on Tuesday, with stops in Milan and Kiev.

I'm not disbelieving you detty29, but can I ask where you obtained this information. I've not been able to get time off work for either the trips to Estonia or Malta but I was hoping to put a request into our senior management for three days off (basing it on us being away 2nd leg as no chance of time off in July) from 3-5 August, which they might give me but I doubt I'd get 4 days off. Also not 100% sure why a chartered flight would have to go via Milan and Kiev, it is chartered so cannot see why it would have to land at two other airports en-route.

The Vienna stat is an urban myth mate, they had been defeated plenty of times at home before we played them.

Sent you a pm.

Just golfing chat at weekwed, but can't give any guarantees.

Due to distances involved giving players more rest so extra day.

Im not sure on flight routes to get to east Ukraine, but also being taken into account.

Why would it need to stop even once ? It's less flying distance than Cyprus. A 6 hour flight at most.

Milan to Kiev is a ridiculous departure from the straight route.

Nut. This isnae happening. Makes no sense whatever.

Pretty sure Newcastle won there a couple of years before us, possibly in the Intertoto.
