He looked to be more like himself and seems to have played through a poor patch of form. Can't really judge him on that footage... I did have a look at some Waalwijk videos and he definitely plays middle behind their front man, seems to support attacks but hard to tell re quality in the footage. If you mean, someone to give more competition in the midfield and guard against complacency then yes.
