Cheers man. Always liked you Jabba. Hope your adventures continue to be outstanding. :)

I'm sure they will be mate. Congrats on the impending new-arrival. If you ever fancy a bit of wildlife watching down-under just pop round to mine and I'll chum you.

Whale watching is honestly one of the most breathtaking things I've done. Seeing a humpback whale bigger than the boat you're on, breaching right alongside you is unreal.

Scary though, too?

With a wee one on the way, it'll be a while before we get back out there, but... some baleen giants would be right in to the top experiences chart.

Don't really give a toss these days.  Have done a fair bit but whether they're classed as achievements I couldn't really say.  I'll just be mighty chuffed if my kids turn out fine and are happy on the day I'm lying on my deathbed.

I wouldn't say I've achieved anything yet.

People seem to like The Terrace though, so I'll say that's something.

Oh, and 28.

Shouldn't they be at least a little bit sad? If they thought well of you, I mean...

I've done some things that have blown my mind... Wouldn't be ruling out marriage and kids so readily as things that I've got to look back upon, when I'm on my death-bed though.

Sailed up the Nile towards the foot of Murchison Falls in a boat, and turned through surfacing hippos, just before the waterfall.

Sat next to a family of mountain gorillas in a Ugandan rainforest.

Rode a camel through part of the Sahara desert.

Stood on a glacier in Iceland.

Seen lions hunting topi.

Camped in the Savannah in Kenya.

Completed an HNC years after I left school, currently looking at having an HND by next year.

Seen killer whales in the wild.

Stayed in a masai mara village.

Saved the life of someone I hated.

Gave up smoking after sixteen years.

Also got married, and baby on the way. :)

Out of interest, how did you do all the wildlife related stuff? Just holidays or through work or what?

Just turned 50 and not achieved much

Did a degree whilst having a full time job at the same time as once Hearts midfielder John Miller

Completed 12 years of volunteering as a Panel Member for the Children's Hearings.

Did a Zip Slide across the Clyde in a kilt even though I have a fear of heights.

Lost over three stones in weight in the last 6 months.

Was the Boys Sports Champion of Kilmacolm Primary School in 1976.

Wrote some scripts for Off The Ball.

Just bucket list stuff. I've always wanted to see or do the things, and now we have a bit of disposable income, we wanted to get them done before we settled in to the bunker and raised kids. Mainly just booked the trips on the Internet.

Still in my teens but there's plenty time to go.

Used to be a wee arse when I was younger, had a criminal record before I turned 16 and was on behavioural watch at school. Always had the academic ability though, got my finger out and left school with a number of awards, AAAAA at higher and AAA at advanced higher. Left as the dux of the school.

Since then I've got similar grades in first year at uni and second year isn't going too badly either.

Slowly overcoming a mental illness which has bothered me for years and I'm becoming a better person for it.

Helped my older sister with maths for a month or so which resulted in her passing her police entry exam.

Got a promotion after 8 months in my first job.

Not all that much but hopefully plenty to add to that in the future.

You got 5 A's at Higher 3 A's at Advanced Higher?

Isn't that like, Cambridge / Oxford worthy?

Fair enough. Was just asking as I thought it was a pretty cool list. :)

I guess it is!

I had known for a number of years what I wanted to study, that was never going to change, and I'm glad that it didn't!

Na that's no me

Cool, just putting two two-ish numbers together. Knew a boy that got those exam results, was dux, might have had mental health issues, went to Heriot-Watt uni...

Think the bits in bold are the biggest achievements on this thread so far. Well done.

No. Mine had tassels. On the collar.

Circa 1992. Wore it to Firhill

Years later, I could be seen sporting this effort in the same grounds during PE.
