"Just sayin"

Agreed.

Usud by the same cretins who end a statement with "is all".

Arseholes who say "methinks" and "breasts heavenward"

Yup. I was wondering what the **** people were talking about when I heard this being used a while back.

"That's ream."

"Eh? That doesn't even make sense!"

"It means good."

"..... The world has definitely changed since I was wee."

The Treasurer

Unnecessary use of the word 'like' (mostly by females)

As in:

I was, like, on the phone and I was, like, talking to my pal and she was, like, talking to me :veryangry2:

Yes, because rape is comparable to someone hacking your Facebook account and posting shite on it!

The use of "wow" has increased recently on jkb.

Only nerds, students or kids should use it.

It's an old one but a bad one, revived by childless men in their 40s.

'Bonkers'

Usually underneath a picture of their spaniel, just being a ******* dug, on Facebook.

'Bestie' and 'Nom nom nom'

Just **** off

Using the word 'simples'.

Is it even a word ?

From a ******* advert.

It's shorthand for "I'm a cretin".

Good shout. See also calling someone a 'fool'.

 Fortunately JKB knows that's a pish word. Starts with 'ret', ends with 'ard'. Awful word.

Someone has ready posted that it appears in 'As You Like It'.

Has to be overuse of the word "chief"

Just GTF with that. Irritating patter.

At work we have a table football table, for some reason it irks me when the game gets called foosball, although I'm not sure why.

German incarnation of the word (fussball), popularised by Friends, I imagine.

Always knew it by the French name, Babyfoot.

I guessed that to be the case with foosball, I don't recall hearing babyfoot before though.

I've never heard any anglophones refer to it as Babyfoot either, but as a kid on holiday in France that was what it was called over there. That and 1st year French, "Je jouer au babyfoot"

'nom nom nom' makes me want to punch the person that wrote/said it in the face

I also absolutely despise 'it'd be rude not to' when talking about alcohol. Similarly cannot stand dull middle aged women making alcohol related quips at work.

'Delicious', in football.

I'm going to continue to bang on about this until my death. Infuriates me.

Otherwise, none of the above bother me. Might actually carry on the nom nom while I'm chomping down on my pizza next time at La Favorita.

Bridge of Djoum

Fully agree with this one.

Y'all is another. You are not an African American MC of the early '90s, being raised on the mean streets of Compton, you are a financial advisor from Gala.

My (white) mate from Texas just read your comment and called you a fool mate. Sorry. It's a southern word. Nothing to do with Compton, mean streets or anything like that.

Agree that it sounds pretty daft coming from someone from Gala though.
