If that one spider can quite effortlessly climb a wall while holding a mouse then how many would it take to carry a person away? Not many by the looks of things.

Global extermination needs to start soon before the big spiders realise this. Kill them all.....kill them all now before it's too late.

You'd only find me holding that brush at the edge of the caldera of an active volcano.

I'm not even sure if I'd throw that fecker or myself in.....

WTF is that thing?!

:sob:

A huntsman. The same thing that was video'd dragging a mouse up a fridge door last week. Aren't know for biting humans that often.

Ironically, it's more the small ones you should be scared of. My ex was bitten by a brown recluse a few years back and almost lost her leg. She's got a great scar where they had to dig out a bunch of dead tissue and fill it back in...

Салатные палочки

That thing is ridiculous.  Australia can GTF.  Don't give a rats arse if it could bite if there was one in my house I would rather burn it down than return to it.

Didn't realise it was on a brush at first.

There is no way a spider should ever be bigger than your shoe.

If it was any bigger it could put on a pair of shorts and box you.

Heard on the radio, an interesting-ish fact about spiders.

The amount of spiders in the world, is measured in weight.

27 million tonnes. Of spiders. In the world.

Also, they eat 800 million tonnes of insects a year.

Heard that today also on the 'and finally' part of Riviera Radio.

Yuk.

The Internet

Can't handle it. There was one sitting on my bed the other night. What the ****? I swear, I was preparing to hit it and it turned and looked right at me, as if to say 'aye come ahead'. They are totally not scared of us. Horrific things that should have gone with the dinosaurs.

We've had some recently that look borderline tarantula. They don't bother me but my wife and daughter are terrorised by them. Living on the edge of my nerves with all the sudden shrieking and cries for me to deal with it.

Nice to be useful and wanted for once, though. :)

#NotAllHuntsmen, maybe if we weren't bombing their country, I know several Huntsmen and they're nice people.

Since Sunday I've scratched 5 of these feckers in my house.

Unfortunately I threw a book at one on my curtain and caught it too well....curtain permanently stained with his insides.

Hopefully other Spiders will see it as a warning rather than spur them into a mass retribution attack.....

Sounds like the start of a really bad disaster movie from 30/40 years ago. The type Michael Caine never turned down. :D

It's the normal hunstmen I feel most sorry for.

More worried about the Huntsmen who have to read mean tweets and suffer abuse on the train.

I had a maths teacher who used to staple spiders to the floor if he ever found one in his class.

A warning to the rest of them.

Spiders don't bother me tbh.

However I would tend to avoid massive flesh eating feckers tbh.

Had a small one in the shower, lifted it out so that it would not get wet.

The Future's Maroon

Spotted this wee git just outside my front door when I got home! Thankfully it is now inside my cat, who like me, hates them.

I was cycling on Monday and a spider landed in my eye!

Pleased to say both eye and spider survived

Maybe less so the human race though ....

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/spiders-could-eat-every-human-on-earth-and-still-be-hungry-a7654486.html

Spiders could theoretically eat every human on earth in a year and still be hungry

Arachnids eat between 400 million and 800 million tons of food each year
