I have nothing to add to this thread other than this:

BRING IT BACK PLZ

And this - my favourite Tour de France moment ever (which just pips Phil Liggett and "it's Stephen Roche! It's Stephen Roche!" into 2nd):

Radge Welsh *******.

All credit to him bit I'll be shocked if he finishes the tour.

Apparently because the pain is from tissue damage surrounding the break rather than the actual break they think if he can get through the next 3-4 days then he should be able to complete the tour! But yes you are right he is a radge!

To be fair the pelvic break isn't a huge one. It wasn't picked up X Rays and only came to light when he had an MRA(?) scan. So it is more of a tiny crack that needed special scans to find it.

Now Jorge Lorenzo doing the Moto GP 2 days after breaking his collarbone and having an operation to get a plate fitted is proper mental.

Excellent win for Cavendish today.

Some big crashes though.

Sagan's going to be tough to beat for green but he's not had a stage yet. I'm still confident Cav will take it.

Long way to go yet.

In response to the Sagan clip further up here's a bit of light hearted fun from trials legend Martyn Ashton riding a Pinarello Dogma like Team Sky ride.

A major WTF!!

The People's Chimp

Great stuff today, classic sprint finish. Delighted to see Cav get a stage win under his belt in what was a really exciting stage. Loving Europcar this year, at the front in every attack/breakaway so far.

Not quite standard Dogma wheels - would have been a much shorter clip if it was :D

Nice one from Cav. Despite seething at the Murray haters I'm finding it hard to warm to Froome.

:wow:

Just seen some of the live feed on the BBC site. Couldn't help but have a look, though I'm desperately trying to avoid checking this thread, other forum threads and the news generally, so I can watch the highlights tonight.

It's murder trying to get to watch em without knowing the result. That's yesterday's and todays wrecked by mates.

I avoid this thread and FB until I've watched the highlights.

Cavendish unlucky today. His ride back into the peleton can't have helped.

I follow too many cycling heads on Twitter to avoid it while I'm grafting.

It's a pain in the hoop but I can't say its lessened my enjoyment of the highlights.

Is it too early to call it Sagan's jersey?

IMO yes. Cav and Greipel will expect to take more stages next week.

I'd say its his already.

He's going for intermediate sprints + he's always there or thereabouts in a normal sprint finish.

He can also get over the lumps without too much hassle.

Can't see anyone taking it off him.

He can't sleep on it and needs 2 people to help take his jersey off. Must be hellish.

I know today was all about the tennis but Dan Martin and Garmin Sharp got todays stage. Very happy for them and him.

They tried to break Froome today and failed.

He'll be glad of the rest day tomorrow.

Froome had to do that all on his own. SKY let him down bigtime.

Sensational ride from Froome again.

I'm off to see stage ten today. Going to the town of Dinan around 50k from the finish. Catagory 4 climb there so the action will be slower on what generally will be a quick stage.

this in my 9th year in France and have never been lucky enough to see the tour so to say I'm buzzing will be an understatement.

I think Cav may be having a word with the officials after that.

A few people might be having words with the officials.
