Have to hope Chelsea win it now, sad they have tried to buy it but would prefer them to win it as most Manc fans i have met have been total and utter *****, who think their team has a divine right to win things.

So Come on Chelski Spank it up the mancs!

Blue is the colour!

Hhm. And no-one in the current Manchester United and Liverpool line-ups was purchased at rather high market prices?

And Spurs announced to the Stock Exchange yesterday the 16.9 million pounds signing of Luka Modric.

Still, if it cheers you up tonight, carry on kidding on Chelsea are the only club in the history of World football to ever spend big money on players.

Chin up, eh? Chuck.

I am not a Chelsea fan nor a fan of any English team really although I like to watch Arsenal games on tv cos they play nice football & Villa are improving a lot too but tonite there is no doubt that Blue is the Colour - should be a cracking final in Moscow.

As well as Chelsea have done, I have to Fancy United in the final. They've just got more guys who have been there and done it - Scholes, Hargreaves, Van Der Sar, Neville (might not play mind) and not to mention Fergie. He knows exactly what it takes to win finals - not sure I'd have the same conifdence in Grant. Whoever wins the title would take a massive phsychological boost - again, you have to have United as favourites for that as well. We shall see, however.

These were my predictions when the quarter-final draw was made:

Quarter-Finals

Liverpool bt Arsenal

Chelsea bt Fenerbahce

Barcelona bt Schalke

Man Utd bt Roma

Semi-Finals

Chelsea bt Liverpool

Man Utd bt Barcelona

Final

Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

These are still my predictions now. :)

Great result for Man Utd. I think they will destroy Chelsea.

Only if Ferguson lets them take of the shackles if not then they will play right into Chelsea's hands as they love a 1-0 nail biter.

Congratulations to Chelsea FC. We showed great skill and team spirit, and a special mention goes to Frank Lampard for his brave performance. Let's go on and win it now. :)

Now to start my search for a Moscow ticket. ;)

Blue is the colour, football is the game.....;)

Great performance from Chelsea last night. I thought they had blown it but they showed their mettle in the end.

Hope they go all the way.

Are they not charging around ?100 per visa for the game, and also flights are now around the ?500 mark.

I was chatting to a manure fan last night too, and he was desperate to see Liverpool get there because he reckons Abramovich and Putin have stitched up most of the ticket allocation between them, and manure fans won't get as many as Chelsea fans, anyone know if there's any truth in this or is it just another manure fan being paranoid?

The visa is not a problem. The company I work for employs a travel specialist to sort such things. They'll happily get me a visa, and I won't have to stand in queues etc to get it. ;)

Someone I know down here who is usually correct on this sort of thing told me that it's 21,000 each, with club allocation for staff and families etc to come out of the 21,000, remainder to fans.

I don't know about you Boaby, but I think a stadium that only holds 42,000 is a bit on the small side for a champs league final game.

I forgot to mention that the manure fan I spoke to last night seems to think that UEFA offered Moscow the same amount of money they would have made from the game, to have it shifted to Wembley (as they saw no reason to send thousands of English fans all the way to Moscow.

He then went on to state that Moscow turned the offer down as it wasn't just the club that would lose out, it would be local businesses and the likes also, and asked for them to be compensated too.

He thinks the Russians are being stubborn over it and that UEFA should move the game to Wembley regardless, and let Moscow have a final in the near future, but I said that every team that entered knew where the final was being played at the start of the comp, and also, if they awarded Moscow a future final, then what happens if 2 English teams make it again?

FFS! Essien at right back and Lampard is starting. It's not ideal, imo.

I doubt Lampard is ready for this and much prefer Essien running the show from centre.

Personally i hate being wrong, you?;)

I'm inclined to think that Chelsea v Man United would be a better game for the final but then I remember last season's FA Cup Final which could possibly be the worst sporting event of all time. Of course Liverpool v Man United will probably be like watching paint dry as well.

I was at that game and although i agree don't you think the 2006 SFA Cup final was a big let down also?

As a sporting fixture the 2006 Scottish Cup Final was one of the better finals as a spectacle. You had an established team that was great to watch going through one of the best periods of it's history that was truly expected to easily dispose of the little minnows who weren't even a club 5 years previous. What happens, the minnows give them a run for their money no one would have expected and after several chances are missed by the bigger team the game goes to penalties.

How's that a bad sporting spectacle?

After being played off the park by them on Saturday?

Haha, Chelsea will beat United again.

Im just glad I had a tenner on 1-1 after 90 mins, 5/1, easy money

Certainly in the first half but not the 2nd. Remember chelski cleared 2 off the line at 1-1. Could have been oh so different for demento and the mhanks!

As a sporting fixture the 2007 FA Cup final had everything to be a sporting great spectacle, Chelsea v Man Utd (won't list the players on show that day)

first ever New Wembley Fa Cup Final, Man Utd going for the double, 90 odd thousand fans what more could you ask for apart from a performance from those listed players? it didn't happen.

Apart from Hearts playing decent football from August to October 2005 and a few decent results there after Hearts slumped and were no better than Gretna on the day, on paper Hearts were the bigger and better club but we weren't, Gretna matched us, ideal for the neautral (gretna fairytale) but ask that neautral what game he would rather have been at and the FA Cup Final would win hands down.

As a Hearts fan i was very pessamistic, ask any of my mates, they were the ones predicting a Hearts landslide, Hearts let us down again, it wasn't to be, they done it the hard way as usual.

Watch out for Roman A taking a thou or so tickets out for himself then the players/corporate cut. Will probably only leave about 14/15k for fans. Same thing happened to Liverpool last year. Only difference is it's a lot harder to just turn up on a wing & prayer in Moscow compared to Athens.Personally I think Moscow is a bad place to hold the final. Also there are nutter fans in Moscow who will definitely be out for English blood come the day.

The capacity is 84,745 with both teams getting 21,000 each. The remainder have either been on public sale (which has finished) or the UEFA big wigs will have sold the rest off to friends and family.;)

The stadium also has an artificial pitch which should make it interesting.

I'm sure I read 17,000 go to Uefa Officials and Sponsors. Mental.

The Man U fan is deluded!

Why would they change this from Moscow, when they made Milan and Juve fans travel to Old Trafford?

The location is chosen well in advance. They ain't going to change it 2 weeks before it happens. All the Uefa delegates and sponsors will have their travel arrangements sorted, so they ain't going to inconvenience them for measly fans

Fair played to Chelsea last night. Both legs were tight and overall I think Chelsea just edged it and deserved to go through.

Liverpool didnt really believe in themselves enough which cost them the game. Hopefully next year we will mount a challenge on the league, just need to get rid of Hicks first.

Good luck to both teams in the Final and lets not have a bore fest like the FA Cup final last year.
