Wales v Scotland World Cup qualifying

I'd have to agree with this. The BBC text updates have already said England are playing a pub team, that they should have a very comfortable evening, and that they should be aiming to beat their scoring record (9-0 v Luxembourg). FFS.

But that is all true. It's a team of highly paid professionals who play in one of the top leagues in the world, against a team of part timers.

I'll have an England bashing session any time, but we don't have to be picky.

I never expect Scotland to thrash anyone - we're Scotland

Fair point, well made. :) It's just that San Marino are a joke. In international terms, they are a pub team, and should be playing in pre-qualifying tournaments instead of wasting their and everyone else's time. Though they did provide one of the greatest pieces of pure comedy I've ever seen in international football, and slammed the final nail in Graham Taylor's managerial coffin into the bargain, so it's not all bad.

I'm usually the first to agree on what a pathetic embarrassment English football commentators are - not in this case, though. England should be beating them by five or six, minimum.

Meanwhile, in Dublin, it's 4-0 to Germany after 58 minutes. :o

Arrivederci Trap.

Arrivederci Trap.

I doubt they'll be in a hurry to get rid of Trappatoni - I reckon he'll get the rest of the campaign at least.

To be fair, this is the FAI we're talking about: so inept, they make the SFA look a modern, decisive organisation. But the spirit in that camp is non-existent, and Trapattoni was actually unpopular with many even before the Euro finals. Results were just papering over the cracks of the absolute dreck their fans had been served up for years - now, results have stopped happening, and humiliation is following instead.

5-0. Brilliant goal after brilliant goal too.

All we need is an Irish goal and Trap to do the GIRUY to the Krauts :)

Christ, we're struggling now

Berra was lucky not to have a pen against him.

Really need a second to make sure.

On a positive it might win him a move to the Buffalo Bills .

Offside or out of play and back in?

Looked offside at the pass down the wing but not given.

Gavsy Van Gaverson

He didn't give offside, he thought the ball went out.

I looked like it stayed in on the replay

Nowhere close to going out :seething:

Can't really complain, Adam was definitely off and they should have had a penalty earlier.
