No he wasn't. I think, from his statement that he flew back after the game.

Cheers folks. Was hoping an open top bus ride might reinvigorate him but Ho hum.

Even in a brief statement to congratulate the team he still manages a WTF jibe at Rupert Murdoch of all people  VR deserves tremendous praise for all he has done for the club, but conversely part of me still looks forward to the day he is gone.

TBF to Vlad he isn't that wrong is he? The threats we've had from der hun about how bad the spl will be without them and their sky sponsorship has been disgusting.

Thunderstruck

Our glorious leader knows that the day belonged to the players, coaching staff and the fans. He left the game smugly satisfied (in a "Greggy" sort of way) that his tenure continues to reap rewards including a Final that will never be forgotten.

According to Scotsman left the game early.

He's an enigma. Spends loads of money at start of season replacing a manager (and what a manager we got) then a few months later announces he's given up on spending on football.

We can all see the benefits of having a good management / coaching team in place, yet there is some doubt whether our wonderful manager, who wants to stay, will be kept on.

If I could keep any one of Rudi, Blackie or Paulo, it would be the manager. Look at the player Black is now and compare with the pre-Sergio version. Look at how having a proper manager has enabled Man U to rebuild team after team and still compete with the oligarchs and plutocrats (OK, they're not exactly impoverished). When Sergio said last week was like any other, what he meant was not that last week was unimportant but that he prepares thoroughly whether the opposition is from Auchinleck or EH7. How well set-up were we on Saturday? Big pitch, two wingers against no-width Hibs.

Dear Vlad. Thanks for all you've done. Paulo is the man.

He left before the game ended according to newspapers. Sergio not very happy.

In his thankyou speech at the Civic Recpetion in the City Chambers David Southern, Managing Director, passed on Mister Romanov's apologies for absence but said he had needed to be in Moscow on business on the Sunday.
