mellors1874
how many times do we have to go through this with rudi skacel sergei fedatovas has already said that hearts have taken the option on rudi's contract and all the club and rudi are doing is discussing the commercial side of his contract such as his t-shirts in the shop etc rudi doesnt need to sign a new contract as it is already in place so the club arent going to update the fans anymore as they dont need to if at this stage rudi does leave the club then he will have to cancel his contract with the club himself
Bozi

Thats like saying to a striker who scores goals you do nothing for the team <img src='http://www.hmfckickback.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Honestly some people need to take a goood look at themselves and the facts -- He was our top goalscorer and no penalties -- a goalscoring midfield player and some want to get rid of him !!

Now I am not willing to offer outrageous sums, not longer than a one year deal but as a player who would be fit and well there is really no need to even think twice.

Aye,except he isn't a striker,he is q midfielder. He is judged on his contribution, not just on goals. If Skacel doesn't re-sign it ain't the end of the world but it will be sad to see a legend leave Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
P-Dizzle
If he goes, he goes. Great player and loved by the fans, but we're not in a position where we can overpay for a luxury player like Skacel.
macca2
Hearts as a footballing entity would have to be clueless to not resign him. Agree. He adds something competely different ....great with a dead ball. brilliant at just lashing it into the top or bottom corner, puts fear of death into opposition players....just sign him again and improve our options for fecks sake!!!!! siegementality
To those who couldn't care less whether Rudi stays I ask you this: 1: How many midfielders in the SPL scored 13 goals last season? 2: How much would it cost to buy any of said midfielders? If we can replace Rudi with another 13 goal a season midfielder then please tell me who they are and where we will find the money.
schillaci
He's our Matt Le Tissier: looks like he is doing absolutely nothing, but can pull something out of nothing. Solid gold in a league of dross. Dare I say it, he shows flair; he has the X-factor. I bet that if he wants more cash to stay, it would be re-couped in 48 hours in jerseys sold bearing "Rudi" between the scapulae. If he goes, the myth will only grow stronger, not to mention the twice yearly outbreaks of "Rudi's coming back" threads.
japanjambo
Hope he stays...but if he wants silly money... I don't understand the money thing. Surely Rudi has plenty money(more than any of us could ever dream of)...but what Rudi could NEVER get anywhere else is the sheer adulation and love he gets at The Hearts...no amount of money could buy that! Lynn PS. I am really quite pished and woul rather be talking aboot a cartain Mr BUSBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only a Game
To those who couldn't care less whether Rudi stays I ask you this: 1: How many midfielders in the SPL scored 13 goals last season? 2: How much would it cost to buy any of said midfielders? Its not as simple as the 13 goals, clearly it isnt or he'd be signed by now. Its a question of whether we feel he is taking the piss in the first place asking for more when he already agreed the terms of the extension a year ago. Its a question of whether we can afford what he is asking. Its a question of whether we want to give an expensive 2 year deal to a 32 year old and what the returns are on that. In Skacel's case in particular there is no value whatever to be had enforcing the option, because he simply wont produce if he's not happy ( a road we've been down before with him) We cant replace a 13 goal a year midfielder. You're right about that because we cant afford to. So there is every chance that we feel that we cannot afford to keep a 13 goal a year midfielder on the money he is asking for. I cant believe there is any fan who really couldnt care less, perhaps Mr Romanov couldnt care less though ?
southside1874
No point in extending his contract if his hearts not in it. I seem to remember Rudi as a player who goes off the boil if somethings bothering the guy. The last time he was here he did look apathetic towards the end of the season and I think he is showing a similar attitude this time round. The last time he was on great money and his head went down so I don't think money is a great motivator for Rudi. Although he may not see it that way himself, but if that guy tries then he's brilliant. If he doesn't try then he is very ordinary.
Kiwidoug
I'm sure even Hibs suppporters will be disappointed if he leaves. We have a fixture coming up on 28 August and they will all be looking forward to his contribution. He's a flair player you see and they are a flair club. Jambof3tornado
Is the team weaker without Rudi? The answer has to be yes, therefore anyone saying we wont miss him is talking rubbish. Diadora Van Basten
I think that last season was good for both parties. Rudi's goals fired us into Europe and Rudi got to play attacking football having wasted the last few years playing left back. Unfortunately there seems to be some confusion with regard to what is supposed to be happening this season. Rudi is under the impression he is going to get more money whilst Hearts do not agree. As the season has started and we have a very important match on Thursday this should have been sorted out by now. The current situation were Rudi is a Hearts player but unavailable for selection is ridiculous and needs to be sorted out now. I would be happy to give Rudi more money than last season but it must still be within the wage structure Hearts have and be within our means. If this is not the case then he should move on. Heartbeat
I have no idea how this is gonna end but what I do know is he is asking for " far too much" to quote someone. He feels it was stated that he did well he would get an improved offer and 13 gosls demonstrsted that and within Hearts (not vlad) there is sympathy for his case although as stated what he wants is believed to be very high IMO I cant see why the agreement isnt watertight and he surely cannot rely on something verbal and claim it is contractual. He had an agent last year so anything he feels is binding should be written in. I want him to stay but I am told he is being a tad greedy

I don't think so mate, he could have signed for 2 years, with the 2nd year at our option. A couple of ways to word that I would imagine, one of them being an opportunity to terminate the contract at a given point with no penalty. He'll score and set up goals and is great to have in the side, but sometimes he goes missing and doesn't do the leg work that other players would. It's a bigger risk to have him in the side defensively, but nobody can question the rewards.
