Thats my point, arent we as bad after sending a message by allowing such an offer?

Seriously?

A marketing gimmic vs. breaching FIFA rules about messages on shirts?

You see them as essentially the same?

Fair enough,

Personally I don't care who is responsible.

Its bad enough that someone (anyone) is dumb enough to go through with something as childish as that.

Shame they wont get hammered for it...just another 'spare change' fine at worst.

To be honest, I really don't think there was any malice in it. Just an ignorance of the rules regarding these things.

Thanks for answering that Dr.

I was lost for words at how much he'd totally missed the point

That's also fair enough but considering the clubs current situation with their other infringements, they really should be a lot more considered in everything they do.

For that fact alone I am not 100% convinced this latest 'mistake'was completely innocent.

I had to clarify as I myself was wondering if I had totally missed this one by a mile...

Seems not.

Victorian

it's astonishing that anyone cares about some small and insignificant embroidery on a football shirt.

Eh no,

Just a rather clear example of how a 'small embroidery' can have meaning because of its connotation and message.

But a smart guy like you would have got that right?

How come you got so quickly defensive?

Cause simple message of congratulations to the future King and Queen is not the same as Swastika. You and I both know it.

I'm right here and unlike a lot of posters here I am not easily offended.

Completely.

Do you really think the intention was to say they were the same?

As I've already explained - its an example of how a message isn't always solely conveyed in the words written.

You and I both know it.
