Any one advise where I can pick up a bit of a bargain in Edinburgh.... needing to have it by Wed lunch time and busy all day tomorrow so either has to be quick delivery or picked up in Edinburgh.

Cheers in advance.

Next day delivery would be ok in fact.

Could always try some of the Acer ones from Tesco, might seem strange but they are reasonably good machines!

My boyfriend has an acer and its fine. had it about 3 years no problems. My nephew got the same one, knacked after less than a year. In getting fixed though...

I got a new one at Staples at Hermiston Gate.

Hewlitt Packard G6000 - 160gb Hard Disc, 2gb memory and Norton, all for ?399.

Well worth a trip to have a look.

Just had a wee gander on PC World's website (I know, I know) and found a decent enough laptop in the clearance section for ?319.99, ?349.99 once Norton is chucked on.

I travel on the train quite a lot so I thought it was about time I joined the wi-fi revolution, and my current laptop, ?400 from Dell about 3 years ago, while still working is struggling under the weight of its porn infections.

The new one I'm looking to get has a 1.9Ghz processor, 2Gb memory and a 160Gb HDD, pretty decent if you ask me!

Don't bother wasting money on Norton and save ?30

Just got a cheap http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-6392.aspx

Getting anew laptop from work May 1st but will have nothing from Wed onwards.... looks a decent machine for the money.

Kenny, hate to say it but I wouldn't touch a Fijitsu with a bargepole ! Part of my job is IT hardware procurement and last tender they failed the technical eval because their kit went on fire !!

Had a fujitsu Seimens Amilo Pro for a year and a half, not one problem (apart from my battery failing, but they did fix that).

Hmmmm its alrady paid for so think I'm going to have to stick with it.
